Not fit for purpose gets mouldyAnonymous reviewerUsed this bread bin from January to May. After a few weeks the lid started to fall down so that you'd need 1 hand free to hold the lid. We cleaned it regularly with moist/dry cloth inside and the the upper surface. What we didn't realise that the outer bottom started to grow mouldy, and that's in a new kitchen with windows and a lot of air circulation. When we cleaned it we never turned it upside down where the mould appeared. I guess that the design of the bottom traps the air/moisture and causes mould. IKEA won't accept the return. So we had to bin the bread bin.
Looks nice but broke on first useAnonymous reviewerThis bread bin looks nice and was exactly what I was looking for my new kitchen. However, when I first lifted the lid, the hinge pin broke. It’s quite small and made of plastic. It doesn’t look like it would last very long for something that would be used frequently.

Very annoying especially when you're holding a baby and can only use one hand! Am going to have to return it and get something else. Disappointed as usually very happy with IKEA products.
