This product is made by Classical in Bangladesh – a social business which, through its production of objects in jute, creates jobs and a steady income for women in rural areas.
IKEA collaborates with social businesses around the world to design unique products which create jobs for people that needs it the most.
The basket is braided in jute by skilled craftspeople in a traditional way.
The handles make the laundry basket easy to carry and move from one place to another.

Would not recommend.Anonymous reviewerConsidering this laundry basket/bag is £29 i don’t think it’s very good quality. The outer basket feels like those old hessian sacks that you ride down a helter-skelter and the inner lining is really thin. Plus the folds from how it was stored in the shop are still there so it doesn’t look round like the picture online (even after a week of trying to bend it into shape). I should also mention that on the tag it says the lining bag can be washed and tumble dried on low and high heat so i did it on a low heat to be safe and it shrunk to half its size, so is no longer usable. It’s a shame because if it was how it seems online it would’ve been perfect, next time I’ll just wait until I can check things out in store.
