Reviews

Not sureVerified ReviewerThese cabinets look nice and have a nice neutral color. Too bad they don't have a shelf inside. I bought 2 and wanted to mount them on top of each other with the legs and use the space between them, but it turned out not to be possible, because there are no holes in the legs. I can only mount them on top of each other but without the legs. I could mount the upper cabinet to the wall but there is too much gap between the wall and the cabinet because English flats have skirting boards. Assembling a cabinet seems easy, but it's not. The manual is not very precise and contains errors (how is this possible?). The cabinets should be more sturdy. All look nice and easy but only on the Ikeas pictures.2
Great purchase!Verified ReviewerGreat purchase!5
Lovely little cabinetVerified ReviewerLovely little cabinet5
Great storageVerified ReviewerUsed as small tv stand with storage space used for dvds. Great size. Easy to put together. Amazing value for money.5
Neat simple little cabinetVerified ReviewerQuick and easy to assemble, I've just done 2, (be sure to get the leg bars the correct way round- check where the hinge pegs go!) The cabinets can't take a heavy load, e.g heavy vase or pile of books, but no metal cabinets can unless reinforced. I looked at several metal cabinets and these were by far the best value.5
Discreet little cupboardVerified ReviewerI got this to hide away some 'work from home items'. It it a fab little item tucked away that stores everything I need. The colour is great and the grey matches my room. Only tiny jibe is that one of the doors swings open randomly but that might have been my naff DIY skills putting it together! Overall, a great little find, well priced, looks good and holds everything I wanted it to.4
Poor qualityVerified ReviewerI know you guys, the price was really cheap but the metal bend really easily and I have this for a month now and already some part started to bend .... And when I first open the package one of the corner was already damage ...1

Just what I needed!Verified ReviewerNeeded a small cabinet to put a printer on and store paper etc. This suited the bill perfectly. It was very easy to assemble and is really sturdy.5

Material

What is steel?

Steel has unique characteristics when it is stretched and shaped since it remains strong. It provides strength to everything from skyscrapers and cars to bed frames and outdoor furniture. The steel industry is moving in the direction of more energy-efficient production and stronger steel qualities. It doesn’t lose any of its properties when recycled and today steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world.

Designer thoughts

Designer thoughts

"LIXHULT storage cabinets were created by chance on the factory floor where they’re produced. When I was there for another project and saw their production of workshop cabinets and storage shelves, I wanted to make my own version of metal cabinets. It resulted in a bunch of small, colourful cabinets which are so simple and genuine, they fit everywhere in the home. You can choose one cabinet, two cabinets - or any number to create your own combination."
