Lovely, stylish neutral pieceAnonymous reviewerReally pleased with it. A little tricky to build but we got there. It fits perfectly in our lounge and looks great.5
I love it!! Anonymous reviewerI was a little worried after reading the reviews, but I love it. I did make sure I was super careful when assembling it and it looks great. It feels sturdy and looks more expensive than it is. The colour is really nice. I think the instructions could be a little clearer but they are ok. I wish there was an easier way to allow for electrical leads as I will reluctantly have to either enlarge the existing holes or create new ones in the back board material. 4
Durability’sAnonymous reviewerIt scratches very easily3
ImprovementsAnonymous reviewerI like the sleek design. I like the colour. It would be improved by having wood veneer on the top and it did not fit together that easily.4
Excellent product Anonymous reviewerSturdy product, aesthetically pleasing and looks more expensive in finish. Little bit tricky in one part of assembly in working out the open shelf part but otherwise straightforward but requires 2 people 5
A beastAnonymous reviewerThis one is a surprising one.
Style:
It looks really nice and the open shelves make a modern subtle look. Great design
Build:
This is a tough one, nothing in the parts is wrong (as mentioned in the other comments) it’s just that in many occasions you may think you’ve place the part the right way but actually realise it’s in the wrong direction.
This build uses a lot of new connectors and the same drill wholes as the BILLY bookshelf. This is no MALM build. It’s not as straightforward. There is a bit more uncertainty in where to connect things.
But you are slow and careful the unit once built is very sturdy and good looking.
For the door hinges, (most challenging) I would recommend pressing the hinge screws into the door to have a good first grip then screw in.
In my opinion you need a drill/ electric screwdriver on low strength to make sure it’s all tight.
Only disappointment is the material . Most parts are hollow and feel cheap. You can hear cut bits falling within.4
Perfectly good cabinetAnonymous reviewerReally sturdy and aesthetically pleasing cabinet. Like the other reviewer, I was concerned by the 1* review. All I would say is that the instructions could be clearer (maybe numbering/alphebetising the main parts) but as a seasoned DIYer I managed to avoid any pitfalls. However, I can see how if you were a DIY novice how you could be confused by some of the instructions so it seems parts don't fit together.5
Looks sleek and smartAnonymous reviewerA bit more tricky to put together than other ikea stuff.
Not sure how it will look after a while in a family home. It doesn’t feel that durable (texture of finish) although it’s pretty study. Brought online so had not seen it prior.
One door was damaged from the box. I live close to the store so was able to physically go to the customer service and they quickly gave me a replacement door.
Overall. Happy with purchase. 4
Lovely unit - with a few bumps along the wayAnonymous reviewerWe got this unit after looking for ages for a stand for our 65” TV. Was put off by the bad review in the far ride home but very happy with the unit. One panel at the back doesn’t fit but we made it work. Looks great and doors can be adjusted to make the joins all identical. 4
Poor quality Anonymous reviewerNothing fits and the parts broke easily it was very frustrating to put together and some parts just won't go together1
