I found this not really an issue, I just tipped it away and the contents inside the table remained dry. Overall very pleased with it. Added bonus, an Ikea item I've been able to assemble myself 😀
Lid gathers water - concerned about rust long termAnonymous reviewerLid has a ridge - gathers water and in turn dust and other bits of outdoor debris. Seems to be a fundamental flaw and I’m concerned about rust in the lid over time.
I use it to store two outdoor sofa covers - lots of space inside.
Lid is painted or powder coated metal so probably don’t rest it on its edge if you store it.
Almost perfect Anonymous reviewerThis a useful and good looking piece of garden furniture. I can fit cushions and throws in and they stay dry even in heavy rain. My only niggle is the channel around the circumference of the lid; it fills with water when it rains and isn’t easy to empty due to the weight of the lid.
Design fault!Anonymous reviewerGreat table and storage but the ridge on the top could have been done on the other side because the table gathers water sadly. I have to keep tipping it to clear rain water and you’d be surprised how much! Nearly a bucket after heavy rainfall. It’s great for storing seat cushions in.
Great stylish item Anonymous reviewerBought this to go with the skarpo chairs of which it coordinates very well with. Good generous size. Heavy lid so hopefully won’t blow away on a windy day. Ridge might collect rain water but hasn’t rained yet so not sure how it will do. Collection from the Warrington warehouse wasn’t very clear. Signage in the business park and a clearer map would help as took several wrong turns.
Preeminently marked Anonymous reviewerTable is actually really lovely & robust & looks expensive but it was delivered with a large number 4 in permanent marker on it & I haven’t had the time to take it back & nor is it easy to find out how to go about this
