Do not use scouring-powder, steel wool, hard or sharp tools which can scratch the surface.

Wash burner caps and crowns by hand. Use soapy water and dry with a soft cloth before use.

Blew upAnonymous reviewerMy own Gas Safe LPG engineer installed the Lagan hob as Ikea could not provide kitchen installers at my location (DG1). During his testing of the hob it blew up, flames coming out from sides of the user knobs and from the under side of the unit and gas had to be isolated. Defective hob replaced and replacement hob installed by the same Gas Safe engineer. Two months later the replacement gas Lagan hob blew up again. This time the gas ignited on a ring that was not in use, the ring next to it which was in use ignited the unused burner causing the burner cap to shoot up with visible flames, a loud bang and hitting the pan support. Luckily the pan support stopped the burner cap projectile! Ikea sending out a different model of gas hob, hover this will require the worktop hob hole to be widened by a joiner and Gas Safe engineer to disconnect the defective hob and reconnect the second replacement hob. It has been such an inconvenience but more so a safety risk with this gas hob. 1
Not the best designAnonymous reviewerStart with the good. The safety feature of the hobs are quite good. Easy and simple to use. However, the metal surface scratches very easily even with a soft sponge. We used normal stove cleaning product to clean but the metal seems to be quite sensitive that it now has a permanent spot marks that we could not remove. The worse thing are the hob grills which are a bit dangerous as they don't support the pots or pans especially if you are using a wok as it could easily topple anytime because they do not support the base of the pans properly. We are looking for ring to add to the metal grill to keep it more stable. We're stuck with it so can't do much. It needed a round metal grill rather than a cross design.2
