Both the desk and the pull-out storage are sturdy enough to hold heavy books and other things that usually end up on and around the desk.
The pull-out storage has 3 levels with shelves that have plenty of space for books, A4 binders or anything else that needs to be hidden away.
The height of the desk is 74 cm, which is the most suitable according to ergonomic research. If you need to adjust the child's sitting position, you can raise or lower the desk chair.
A desk surface must withstand a lot. That’s why the lacquered surface is extra durable.

Poorly designed, not worth the price.Anonymous reviewerThe drawer front simultaneously rubs along low pile carpets, and interferes with the bottom of the desk regardless of the wheel adjustment, leading to the drawer being noisy and difficult to open and close. Especially for children.

The issues I faced were when trying to attach the metal frame to side drawer - the bolts provided did not fit well with the holes on frame and this took ages to work them in to the thread.
Second issue was when fitting the drawer on to runners - I encountered the drawer not closing and the wheels hitting. This after some time we realised was due to the bottom panel being on back to front, so taking apart and turning round solved this and drawer working fine.
Not the greatest instructions, which doesnt make it clear which way certain parts should be placed, but end result is worth the pain I promise lol!

Nice workstation Anonymous reviewerGood for those who don’t need keyboard tray (like me). Good space. Easy to assemble. Little tricky to insert drawer but can be done. Wheel provided at the bottom of the drawer is also good, I have carpet on the floor which create little friction while opening drawer but will not be in case of hard floor (I guess :)).

Pull out drawer - nightmare Anonymous reviewerIKEA’s furniture is normally easy to put together, instructions are also easy to follow. The pull out draw doesn’t sit in correctly when the wheels are attached the draws end up high and don’t sit flush. Take the wheels off it sits on but the bottom of the draws push back out. If it wasn’t such a pain to take back down It would be returned.

Great, sturdy practical study deskAnonymous reviewerPurchased this for the study. Reasonably straightforward to assemble and works very well as a study desk. Solidly built and I like the fact that there a hidden shelf behind the drawer to contain any cables that may otherwise be visible from laptops or extension leads etc.

The biggest problem was the wheels on the pull out storage unit. If this are fitted the unit does not for into the space and sticks out. This is because there is not enough clearance between the wheels and the bottom piece of the desk. The pull out works fine with them not fitted. It took a while to figure out the issue.
