Reviews

Looks good butAnonymous reviewerLove the look of this extractor (recycle mode) but whilst fast it doesn't appear to gather steam etc towards the filters but blows it about the kitchen4
Noisy and expensive and light stopped working Anonymous reviewerThe LED light stopped working soon after purchase Because it was during Covid - iKEA were not helpful. How do I replace the light strip?1
Just perfectAnonymous reviewerJust perfect5
excellentAnonymous reviewerthis is a great extractor fan, takes all smells away and condensation no problem. the light is good at the front, it lights up all hob and is bright so you can see what you are doing. extractor fan lights are usually at the back and seem to just light up the wall and leave the hob in darkness, it is noisy but it’s quieter than my last one. i couldn’t find any others quieter than this (obviously i could only try ones that were on show) when i was looking to buy. price has increased quite a bit, i thought was a bit high when i bought it.5
Noisy So much so thatAnonymous reviewerNoisy So much so that I don’t want to use it as an extractor. Looks good but I think of it as a very expensive light3
Good extractionAnonymous reviewerWorks very well but very noisey.4

Function solution

Sound levels

Sound levels for appliances are measured in decibels (dBs). Our extractor hoods have been tested in speed 3 to determine the dB level. The sound level of your extractor hood is affected by: • Type of installation. Exhaust-mode or recirculation-mode. • Length and diameter of the exhaust pipe between extractor and exhaust vent. The longer it is and the smaller the diameter, the louder it gets. • 90° bends. The more bends you have in the exhaust pipe, the greater the sound.

Quality

Sensitive to noise or have an open-plan home?

For extractor hoods, a noise level below 60 dB is considered low – roughly equivalent to a normal conversation between two people. We measure the noise level of our hoods at max speed, making it easier to compare different models. Note that sound levels decrease at lower speeds, and recirculating hoods are typically louder than those vented outdoors. Noise may also increase if the ducting is long or has several bends, as the air has to work harder to pass through the system.
