Product details

Perfect for storing pickled vegetables, preserved berries or other tasty things from nature's pantry, as well as dry goods like pasta, granola, tea or yummy biscuits.

The aroma-tight seal helps food retain its flavour and aroma longer.

Easy to clean thanks to glass, which also does not absorb odours or discolour from tomato sauce, etc. Transparent, so nothing is forgotten and left behind.

The jar can also be used as a serving bowl - or as a storage container, helping you keep things organised throughout the home.

Replacement sealsVerified ReviewerI love these jars, can I replace the seals, do you sell them separately?4
Glass cracks on Its own if taken out of fridgeVerified ReviewerI got 3 of them, after half a year, they start to have clean cracks on the bottom if you use them in the fridge. I make yogurt with them so maybe it can't stand the temperature difference. I got them in China too and they did the same but they were £1 for 2. Not £2.5 each. I don't recommend these if you have to store these inside fridges.1
Korken jarsVerified ReviewerThese are great jars, I’ve had mine for years and there still perfect apart from the seals which need to be replaced. Unfortunately you can’t buy these anymore. I’ve bought them in the past but was informed this morning they no longer sell these.1
Glass JarVerified ReviewerIt's a jar. It is made of glass. I put stuff in it. Now I can see if I am running out of the stuff in it. It is a lot less annoying than Jar Jar Binks.5

Preserving food and all its flavour

KORKEN jars are ideal for preserving jams, pickles or other home-made treats. The aroma-tight seal helps to lock in flavour. And since the jars are made of glass, you can easily see what’s inside, increasing the chance food gets eaten and not thrown away.

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
