Excellent quality and priceVerified BuyerGreat product as ever from IKEA with a great price3
Not well deisngedVerified BuyerConstantly makes a loud cracking sound when being used. Obviously not well made.1
Not very practicalVerified BuyerNice design but too flat and not right balance. Works if you cover the frying pen but if you want to have it half covered touches food or falls. Also if you take it off for a moment and put on the worktop upside down it’s a challenge to rich the handle to lift it up. Your old one was just perfect. Bring it back2

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
