Drops out on chargeAnonymous reviewerThe speaker is acceptable as a single unit but sounds much better paired up.
I wanted them plugged in for each room but while plugged in they constantly drop Bluetooth connection which is extremely frustrating.
Even if they pair each time they shut down they must be relinked every time you use them.
Basically good as portable/camping speakers but largely useless for static setups.3
Doesn't sound really nice but acceptableAnonymous reviewerGiven the price of £5 that's okay.2
Far better then a mobile phone speaker!!!Anonymous reviewerFor the price unbelievable, great sound, usual Ikea price and value. Very easy to setup, I've now good two for double mono (not quite stereo) still sounds good.
Basic blue tooth pairing straight forward.
Pairing two kallsup's: first press the blue tooth button (short press) to turn on speaker (led steady green) and get first speaker playing your music.
While speaker one is playing, press blue tooth button (short press) on second speaker to turn on (led steady green), then press and hold down triangle button on the second speaker until the led flashes three times and release the button when the music start coming out of the second speaker too.
Done.... double mono!
Happy listening. Mike in the city of Doncaster5
Fabulous little thingAnonymous reviewerSmall but mighty, have used it every day, I particularly love the sigh it makes when it’s plugged in to charge, definitely makes you smile. Great value and whimsical5
Cute, functional, perfect for podcasts while moving around the houseAnonymous reviewerI love this little speaker and for a fiver you cannot complain so why only 4 instead of 5 stars?
I love to fall asleep sometimes listening to music or a podcast and just as I've drifted off to sleep Kallsup wakes me up with a stupid trill to announce it is switching itself off.
WHY IKEA? WHY?
No one ever needs a silly trill to announce shutdown. For startup I get it. The speaker is working and connected to Bluetooth (it has an astonishing range) you are ready to go. But shutdown? Why? It spoils an otherwise fab little piece of kit.4
BasicAnonymous reviewerWorks ok with my phone but not very loud also I can't connect to my Alexa3
Great value and performance, could be better.Anonymous reviewerNo paper instructions, just a QR code, could put them on side of box. On off function not labelled nor intuitive. Smaller than expected but good performance. Bass a little low but size limits this. For the price it's amazing and with several very immersive.4
Excellent valueAnonymous reviewerGood sound for a small box. Ideal for streaming the radio whilst sitting at your desk.5
Love itAnonymous reviewerAbsolutely brilliant, love it, love the price, the sound is good. This is also good for those with an eye to aesthetics x5
Small but perfectly formedAnonymous reviewerI recently bought a campervan and was looking for a small speaker I could pair with my phone, saw this when adding items to my list- and I can honestly say it does the job perfectly.
It’s small form is unobtrusive, it’s easy to pair, the sound quality is great for the price, it’s quick and easy to pause music, and the little noise it makes when it’s put on charge really made me chuckle.
That might be my favourite thing about it actually (I’m easily entertained).
It would be nice to have them available in black or some muted colours. 5
GreatAnonymous reviewerGreat5
Small but loudAnonymous reviewerIt’s small but it’s loud. Good quality for a small price and size. Very good5
Cheap and Great soundAnonymous revieweri bought it just wanting a cheap speaker and i was throughly suprised when i heard the sound . i reccomend if you are on a budget ! Though it does need better colours as they are too flat but i like it 100% recommend for people on a budget5
Great little speakerAnonymous reviewerMy other half bought one one these ,to try and was so surprised by it went and bought another.Great set of speakers for the price.5
Awful Anonymous reviewerThey are depressingly temperamental. Charging hard to judge I've now more cables than I had with my old Bose system. Can't turn them off at will and so many other tiresome issues. I should return them 1
Fantastic for the money. Anonymous reviewerRecently picked one of these up and it’s a great bit of kit for the price. It is a small, cheap speaker - don’t expect wonders. It’s never going to replace a dedicated audio system, you aren’t going to get any real bass or depth - but it’s fantastic for dotting about with odd jobs. Ideal for working on the car or listening to a podcast while you do odd jobs. Volume is decent enough but would be drowned out in a loud environment like a festival campsite etc. Both the sound quality and physical quality are good enough, the notification tones are quirky and the battery life is great.
Recently purchased the reduced VAPPEBY (£5) and returned to buy another. Picked this up as there were none left. Can’t complain for the price, but the VAPPEBY has some preferable features such as water resistance and pairing.
For the price point you can’t go wrong, especially with the generous return policy.5
Great Value Anonymous reviewerI had seen these being mentioned online before they were available in the UK and many people were raving about how good they are, so as soon as I saw they were available I bagged one. They give pretty decent sound quality, are simple to use and look pretty cool - I will buy more to link them together to test that out. For only £5 you cannot buy better!5
