Doors make all the differenceAnonymous reviewerI purchased three doors (and a set of drawers) for my Kallax unit. Yes, they look quite flimsy when you unwrap everything, but the design works well. Read the instructions, follow them, and you can't go wrong. The only thing missing from the instructions is how to adjust the doors so that they fill the space evenly and don't rub on the frame. Experience with fitting a kitchen helped in my case. Very pleased and I think these items raise the kallax unit from a very basic item to a piece of usable furniture in my office.
Bad useless Anonymous reviewerDont buy flimsey bad will never recommend to any one .... dont buy
VERY poor qualityAnonymous reviewerUnfortunately these units are badly designed, flimsy, cheap and nasty: a complete waste of money. I can't understand how they got past IKEA quality control at any stage of their development/sale. The actual door is OK and you could use the frame as a template to fix the door hinges direct to a Kallax unit. Then you can put the frame in the dustbin .... where it should have ended up on day one of its inception !!
Kallax insertAnonymous reviewerPerfect fit for kallax
Brilliant!Anonymous reviewerI bought these to fit in a light oak Kallax unit, and the dark stain complements the light oak perfectly. I previously had light oak doors to match the cabinet, and although the colour match was perfect, trying to align the doors and drawers to get perfectly parallel gaps between the frame and doors is almost impossible. Using the dark wood doors simply makes the problem disappear.
Not a long term solution to fitting a doorAnonymous reviewerThe first insert was ok, but the second one just won't attach. The top fitting keeps coming away and the door is useless. I'm going to replace both door inserts with boxes.
Kallax doorAnonymous reviewerEven easier than the drawers to put together. Made the Kallax unit look stylish
Kalkax insert with doorAnonymous reviewerEasy to assemble and useful once in place
ExcellentAnonymous reviewerFirst one a bit tricky to align, but rest were somple
Super easy assemblyAnonymous reviewerPurchased two of these for the Kallax unit I chose. Easy to assemble and the fit is perfect with smooth runners. Perfect size for storing photos.
Change of fittingsAnonymous reviewerI have bought one of these before and had no issue, however, when I bought another recently I just couldn't get it to fit properly - it sits within the insert as it won't move left/right enough. When I compared it to the old one the fitting is only half the depth so no matter how far you screw it in it won't move over far enough.
RidiculousAnonymous reviewerSilly cardboard storage idea that you screw into wood and ruin your existing furniture with
Missing door Anonymous reviewerOnly had 7 cupboards doors instead of 8 only notice when putting the unit together as in the store there was an disturb in front of me so I wanted to leave asap. This is the first time I used the click and collect service not very impressed
Do not fit poor quality Anonymous reviewerReturning as poor fit in kallax unit and very happy all away around. Carpenter even tried and said return ass not made correctly
Kallax insert with doorAnonymous reviewerI bought two. Put one together but took the other back as it wasn’t what I thought it would be. Absolutely nothing wrong with it - just not for me.
Poor quality, fiddly to fit, limits spaceAnonymous reviewerIt's a insert that sits inside the storage area and reduces the space. The inner walls are made from cardboard by the looks of it, mine came broken and dented in multiple places. Door doesn't seem to align at all on mine, has a big gap on the left hand side, even when loosening the adjustment screws all the way. I made a big mistake of buying 4 of these, but after installing one I am not going to bother using anymore.
Love the insertAnonymous reviewerIt moves - you can put it in any of the spaces - clever.
Limit the spaceAnonymous reviewerUnfortunately it limits the space by adding 3 sides. A door attached to the unit would do the job
Easy to fit makes your kallax unit into more furniture.Anonymous reviewerGreat transformation of plain unit.
IdealAnonymous reviewerLooks great and easy to fit

Material
What is fibreboard?
Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
