The fabric gives very good protection against the sun’s UV rays as it has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating of 25+, which means it blocks 96% of the ultraviolet radiation.
It’s easy to keep the canopy clean and fresh since you can easily remove and machine wash it.
The air vent reduces wind pressure and allows heat to circulate.
The hook-and-loop strap keeps the fabric in place when folded.

Just doesn't lastAnonymous reviewerGreat frame, though does suffer from a little rust here and there, and the mechanics work fine. But after 5 years, the canvas canopy is ridden with micro tears. And therefore not really mendable, with out throwing serious money at it.
Zero adaptabilityAnonymous reviewerThis parasol only has one position. It can't be tilted. Once in place it can't be turned. It only has one height. So it pretty much only offers shade for one hour, when the sun moves you can't move the parasol to shade the sun. Very disappointed. It is sturdy, though the sand bags are very expensive considering you have to buy the sand separately (if you don't live near a beach).
Great product but no replacement canopyAnonymous reviewerThis is a fantastic product but after four seasons I’d love to change the canopy. Unfortunately, it’s not available and I’ve searched everywhere. It’s a shame because no one seems to sell this specific configuration. I have a perfectly functioning frame but no canopy replacement. It’s ironic that Ikea always boasts about its environmental credentials.
