Poor qualityAnonymous reviewerI read the other negative reviews but stuck with it as it’s the right size for me. It is nice and big! However, as some others have said, this is a poor ikea product. The wood is poor quality (splintered, knotty, holes, needs sanding), you get too many shelves in the pack so you have 4 spare (or you could use 3 for another level), and the metal crossbar doesn’t fit as the screws are too small for the pre-drilled shelving holes (I tried to fudge it with wall plugs but I wouldn’t say it was safe). It seems very overpriced for 4 uprights and 12 shelves. I asked for a refund but was told I need to dismantle it and wait for collection. Well, after hours sanding & fudging, I need to move on with my life! Maybe I’ll paint it at some point… Go for the Ivar, save yourselves!1
