It is greatVerified BuyerNever seen a thick rectangular one before so it was a bit of spontaneous buy but it is definitely worth the money and good quality too. Would recommend digging through the pile in IKEA to avoid the chipped ones.5
RustumVerified BuyerGood piece for kitchen use.5
Cork MatsVerified BuyerI don't use these for their intended use as pot holders/place mats. I use them for my classroom and children use them in a game called tap tap where they hammer nails through shapes on to the cork board. They are not the most robust and have a short life but it enables children to develop fine motor control skills so that's a win win - I would just like them to be more durable for that purpose - although it's not the purpose they were intended for!4
Multi purposeVerified BuyerI mainly use these for placing my potted, indoor plants on to avoid them leaving marks on furniture.5
This product is much moreVerified BuyerThis product is much more inferior to previous heat coasters I’ve bought from IKEA . I also do not like other coasters I’ve bought with the lip around as some mugs do not fit inside ,all I wanted was a simple flat good quality coaster.I still am a huge fan of IKEA.2

What is cork?

Cork comes from cork oak bark which is carefully cut from the tree’s trunk. It then takes about nine years until the tree forms new bark that can be harvested. Since a cork oak can live to be aged 150-200, each one produces a lot of cork during its lifetime. Cork has several good qualities as a material: it’s lightweight, flexible, waterproof and naturally resists fire. We use it in furniture and accessories.
