The salt/pepper shakers can also be used for other spices that you like to add to your food.
When you see through the glass that the contents are starting to run out, you simply unscrew the cap and refill.
The brown glass reduces the effect of daylight on the spices and makes them retain their flavour for longer.

Like the idea of the sticker so that you can put on what is in the bottle.
Mother likes the idea that you can switch it to pour the salt or shake the salt.
The original container that she had for the salt wasn’t very good because the top dropped off and because it was made of cardboard, the salt tended to become moist.
This makes quite a difference.
