The best way to extend the life of your wooden outdoor furniture is by cleaning it regularly and not leaving it outdoors unprotected more than necessary.

Clean: With a mild soapy solution. Wipe dry with a clean and dry cloth.

Maintenance: To prevent the surface from drying out and cracking and moisture from penetrating into the wood we recommend you to re-stain the furniture on a regular basis, for example once or twice a year.

Storing: If possible, store in a cool dry place indoors. If the furniture is stored outside, cover it with a waterproof cover. After a rain or snowfall, wipe off excess water or snow from flat surfaces. Allow air to circulate to avoid condensation.

To increase the stability of your furniture, re-tighten the screws at least once per season.

Reviews

Chair not suitable for long-term use; unable to obtain replacement legs.Anonymous reviewerInitially skeptical about retaining the items after returning home due to the legs appearing unstable when screwed in, we contacted customer service, who advised returning the items to the store. However, the store declined as we had disposed of the packaging a week earlier. One year later, as anticipated, the legs on two chairs broke over the summer. We requested replacement legs, but Ikea offered a £50 gift voucher instead, leaving us with sturdy buckets without any legs. It seems that plastic chairs last only a year before being discarded, which is not environmentally friendly, Ikea!1
Comfy but chillyAnonymous reviewerI like that this chair is suitable for both inside & out. It seems comfortable but in winter will need a cushion of some sort.4
Solid and handsomeAnonymous reviewerThe legs are real wood which gives an upmarket touch. The plastic seat is thick and sturdy, which also speaks to high quality. Comfortable enough but will be adding some seat pads for extra comfort.5
ChairsAnonymous reviewerGreat quality very happy with purchase5
Great colour and value for moneyAnonymous reviewerLooked around for nice chairs to go with our farmhouse table. These chairs are a lovely colour, very comfortable and a reasonable price.5
Comfy and light weightAnonymous reviewerBought the chairs to with an extending table. They aren't a match for the table however with a table cloth on the table it doesn't matter. We tried a few chairs and likes these for the colour and seating position . The offer was 4 for 3 at £60 each which made it seem attractively priced. Its a common design and there are cheaper options elsewhere however I trust that it will be hard wearing as it is an Ikea product. It is great to move around in our dining room unlike our previous heavy hardwood chairs.4
Good chairsAnonymous reviewerThere chairs are very comfy and seem to be good quality for the price. We've only had them a week so we'll see how long they last. Nice colour too.5

Solid Performaner and looks goodAnonymous reviewerLooked at lots of chairs to replace the ones we've had for 16 years. Really comfortable, really easy to put together (you twist 4 legs into the seat which is all one piece) and actually look really good. 5
nice chairs in turquoise greyAnonymous reviewerI have been looking for dining chairs and these perfectly meet my criteria - stylish, sturdy, comfortable, and easy to clean. I especially like the wooden feet. These look like more expensive chairs.5
Comfortable and stable Anonymous reviewerI use the chair with my dressing table, very comfortable and stable.5
Delivery arrangements Anonymous reviewerActually I ordered and paid 4 chairs of gronsta, but delivered 2 only. If only 2, I will cancel all and won't buy it at day one , so disappointed 2
It's not comfortable Anonymous reviewerit's too hard for sit.1

Easy to assemble. Solid wood legs. All four chairs were level, without a wobble. Not designed for a task chair but comfortable for meals and visiting. A fun and economical addition to our MCM living space.

Material

Lovable durable eucalyptus

Eucalyptus is a durable, hard wood type suitable for outdoor use since it is compact and has a naturally high oil content that helps protect against weather and wind, drying out and mould. For maximum protection it’s pre-treated with wood stain. By re-staining now and then you can enjoy it for many years.
