You can just shake off water from a light rain, as the cushion cover is water repellent.
The dope-dyeing process reduces consumption of water and dyestuff while improving colour fastness compared to traditional dyeing techniques.
The zipper makes the cover easy to remove.

We bought these cushions to go with the APPLARO (garden chair set) .. with these cushions they bring the siting height to a really comfy height and they're super comfortable. Cushions are a year old now and they've been used throughout the year (covered by a gazebo but brought in for winter) they're still comfy to sit on and heavily used this year too.
Very poor sun stabilityAnonymous reviewerHaving spent over £800 on two outdoor sofas and all the cushions to match I was disappointed to find that the cushions have faded very badly after being outside for about 3 hours a day for the equivalent of 10 weeks. They were inside the rest of the time, in a dark garage. It's not a smart sofa anymore and visitors can't believe that the sofa is still not a year old! I've spoken to Ikea Customer service and visited the store but they said they'd been outside too long and would offer nothing.
