Very nice piece for childrenVerified ReviewerOverall it’s a great item. Well made, study and love the hidden compartments. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that it’s quite hard to lift boards up.4
Very robustVerified ReviewerExcellent product. Easy to put together. Strong. No rough edges. Looks great.5
We love this table!Verified ReviewerWe love this table!5
Amazing!Verified ReviewerWe’ve use this table everyday. It’s so versatile for eating at, drawing, storage and play. My little boy loves taking the lid off and seeing what I’ve filled the boxes with underneath. Sand and dinosaurs in one side, green water and toys in the other…we keep it in the kitchen to control the mess he makes but we absolutely love this table and now have many friends who have bought it since seeing it in action.5
Perfect!Verified ReviewerOne of the best products I've bought from IKEA!5
Easy to assemblyVerified ReviewerEasy to assembly5
Really nice productVerified ReviewerBought it as a make do for now until we found a nice one but is much better quality than expected5
Perfect for kid messy play.Verified ReviewerPerfect for kid messy play. Just cover it up when you’ve finished! It makes activities like pouring and scooping coloured rice so easy to manage, less messy and easy to tidy up.5
Poor qualityVerified ReviewerUnfortunately then putting this item together the middle section was split. I couldn’t contact Ikea due to their online system wanting you to provide an item number which was not listed. So I cannot get a replacement part1
Must haveVerified ReviewerI wish I knew about it earlier. Its a second little table for my son. And its amazing, so much thinks you can do to entertain your little one. check in instagram #flisat. Its a good quality, scandinavian design, work perfect with any natural materials.5
Good storageVerified ReviewerI recently brought this for a wedding day activity for the children to play with its a great article5
Stylish and great storageVerified ReviewerStylish and great storage under - for my little ones first table5
good play table with storageVerified ReviewerGood for purpose, but could have more durable storage/ tabletop lids3
Craft tableVerified ReviewerGreat for children to do their crafts on however my 4 year old and 2 year old struggle lifting the kids to access the storage trays. The wood is also easily marked with crayons and felt tips, a wipe clean surface such as paint would greatly improve this table in our opinion. I have painted myself at home to make the table look newer for longer yet be fully used as a messy craft table.3
Perfect playroom tableVerified ReviewerWell made, study and great looking. I love the natural look which fits in with all decoys. The boxes are incredibly versatile for storage and using for sensory play with endless possibilities.5
PerfevtVerified ReviewerWow what a game changer for the kids playroom! I love setting up new inspiring invitations to play now.5
Brilliant tableVerified ReviewerGreat table, easy to put together! My Kids love having a tray each to put their own colouring books and pencils in Looks lovely too and a nice size, enough space for both of them to use5
Good productVerified ReviewerIdeal for the artistic grandchildren. Storage for the pen ,etc. It's just the thing they like5
Brilliant tableVerified ReviewerBrilliant table for the kids but marks very easily and as the kids hit the toys on the wood it dents but excellent sensory bins3
Great for messy playVerified ReviewerNice natural table with ability to choose how you finish it. Become a bit pricey once you have bought boxes lids and stools.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is solid wood?

Solid wood is one of our favourite materials and is part of our Scandinavian heritage. It is also a timeless material with many uses. Regardless of the wood species, it is durable, beautiful and renewable. We strive to use this raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste – and we also invest in facilities and logistics so that we can increase the use of recycled wood.
