Lovely and practical basketMaria101990This basket has 101 uses! We use it as a small laundry bag for children's clothes. Moreover, the basket looks great and suits our interior very well! Good quality!5
Wonkydevil_tezThe base is wonky, it does not stand straight and you cannot put a plant in it as it will just tip over, might be ok if you were putting cushions in but can’t see another use for this as it doesn’t stand straight1
Perfect for my knitting!KentishbelleA lovely size for holding all my knitting bits and bobs, wide opening to see everything inside. Handles a little on the thin side and I'm concerned they aren't up to the job.5

Material

What is sedge (or seagrass)?

Sedge (or seagrass) grows naturally in South-East Asian coastal areas. For our products, we mainly use cultivated sedge from field areas that have previously been flooded by the sea, making them unsuitable for rice cultivation. But sedge grows well in salty soils and even helps cleanse them. After harvest, the plant is left to dry in the sun making it a hardwearing fibre ideal for weaving or braiding products with beautiful colour variations, like baskets and mats.
