Downgrade in every way compared to TJENA.Anonymous reviewerIKEA, in continuing with its tradition of discontinuing useful products for no good reason, has binned the cheap TJENA line and replaced them with this monstrosity. One of the nice things about TJENA was you could store delicate items in them, due to the all paper construction. Thanks to the stupid screws in these ones, that is no longer possible without worrying about contact with the rough metal bolts. I can't use them at all anymore.
I really have no idea what IKEA were thinking when designing this thing. It does a worse job than GÄRDESGÅRD if you want something sturdy and doesn't bow out at the edges, and it does a worse job than TJENA at being a simple, no frills box that just worked for all kinds of items.
Woe is the consumer who has to suffer pointless redesigns that try to solve problems that didn't exist in the first place.
Not fit for purposeAnonymous reviewerFor some inexplicable reason IKEA have changed the design of these. The sides are now 'open' and have some sort of screw and washer affair to 'bring them together' - this is massively insufficient and even before anything is in them the sides are open! It would require a massive amount of Gaffer tape and/or strong glue - totally different to the originals which we thought would be delivered. I also told the IKEA site about the redesign - the guy I spoke to was almost sighing with the thought that it was 'not another call about these' (!)...We bought them online and received a quick refund - that much is positive...would advise anyone to avoid them and go elsewhere...hope this is helpful?

Great with Billy BookcasesAnonymous reviewerWe purchased these boxes to go with out Billy Bookcases, the boxes fit exactly which is what we planned for. The boxes are easy to assemble and are hard wearing. They take A4 papers easily and stack.

Tjena were far superior to the 'updated' FjaderharvAnonymous reviewerI have an Ikea slimline wardrobe which is full of Tjena boxes for storage, I have now had to buy the Fjaderharv for the last 3 spaces. They are inferior in all aspects, harder to put together, now have nuts & bolts, do not meet in the corners, visably not as good and have additional packaging! Why change a best seller when there was nothing wrong with it, especially for something which is not nearly as good. Please bring back the Tjena!

Disappointed and unable to fit together.Anonymous reviewerI was disappointed when I received these. I expected the ones that fold and are simple to construct. The ones I received although sturdier card, were fixed with 4 nuts and screws - fitted to 4 sides. As I have osteoarthritis I was unable to fit these together myself which was frustrating and added to my feelings of uselessness. There are gaps at the side due to the fittings. Please consider going back to the old design!

Over-engineered, not as good!Anonymous reviewerDisappointed by these new versions of this box! They are slightly smaller, the construction is harder and the holes don’t line up well so it’s a bit of a struggle with the fiddly screws and bolts. Also the edges bow out so don’t look as clean on the shelf.

TJENA were betterAnonymous reviewerI'm not a fan of the n
metal screws, completely over engineered. I use TJENA to store craft stamps stood up. The bolts now get in the way and you cant flip through the them. The design is not as nice. I glued mine and binned the bolts but the fact they bow and are slightly smaller still causes issues. I dont like the handle gap either. I wish the old style TJENA were still available.
