Doors turn yellow Anonymous reviewerI am a big fan of Ikea and had a previous kitchen that was brilliant but this one is not good at all. The doors have turn yellow and in places the outer colour/laminate has worn off bubbles despite having handles which take the majority of handling. We replaced our old kitchen which we had for over 10 years in 2020 and really wished we hadn’t, all this started happening after a year or so gradually. We are now at the point of having to think about replacing again as it looks terrible.1

The trims and side panels haven’t yellowed so my kitchen now looks like it is very old and all mismatched. I certainly wouldn’t recommend anybody buying this as it’s not a cheap kitchen and it doesn’t last long 1
Beware of BodbynAnonymous reviewerI purchased the Bodbyn doors, drawer fronts, cornices and plinths in 2019 and initially was delighted. However, over time the yellowing rthat occurred and which I fully expected was happening at different rates between the varying fronts and trims. When I contacted customer services and sent the photos that clearly demonstrated the colour differences I was informed that it had been decided that there was no problem and that the case had been closed. HOPELESS CUSTOMER SERVICES. I have, over time, spent an awful lot of money in Ikea, but I wouldn’t do so now. The company should be ashamed of itself1

Not durableAnonymous reviewerMy kitchen looked great with these doors when new but 3 months in I am now having to replace a second cabinet door. The finish chips really easily.
It would be great if Ikea sold a touch up paint for these. I am tempted to change the whole lot but as these were the biggest part of the Ikea kitchen cost that would be a huge waste of money2
Only buy if you want a yellow kitchenAnonymous reviewerBought in 2017. Many many drawer and cabinet fronts/doors. A few years later added to the kitchen. Trim and bee door are still off white, the rest is yellow. IKEA says aging and won't accept responsibility. Having looked, there may have been a faulty batch in 2017, but no, it's our fault, it would appear. Mostly for going with IKEA. All my doors and fronts are still pristine, just yellow. We need a new fridge, and I wanted it built in, but now cannot do that, as it will stand out like the rest. All trim is also off white, but they only offer one off white type of doors. Also the planner inserted deco panels in the design in-between cabinets, which my builder followed to a t. This means I cannot replace with another colour easily, so have to fork out a fortune to spray paint or start from scratch. I have a total of 35 doors and fronts. Thank you, IKEA.1

Not long lasting! Anonymous reviewerLovely looking doors but they don’t last long. Our kitchen is 7 years old and all the paint on the lower doors are flaking away paint and showing MDF. We aren’t a hard wearing family either. I would hope kitchen doors would last longer than this, especially at this price. Had to buy all new doors for our kitchen which is very frustrating. Wouldn’t buy an ikea kitchen again I’m afraid. 1
