    Weird colour, not nice fabricAnonymous reviewerWe bought the light grey curtains for our bedroom. The colour is strange - would say it's more greige than true grey. It has a significant yellow undertone. Our bedroom is a dusty blue so looks terrible. We were hoping for a nice cool grey but its hard to tell in the shop because of the artificial lighting. The texture of the fabric is not nice either, it doesn't drape well. The only positive is that the light blocking is quite good - it's not fully blackout but blocks more than enough light to not wake you up in the morning. Would add a photo to show the colour but can't see the option to. 1

    Warm beige not greige.Anonymous reviewerLovely pair of heavy curtains. They will need hemming up and steaming (I won't be ironing as they seem to have a black out coating on the reverse). Worth noting is a previous review said they were a grey-beige, which led me to buying them to match the new greige pax I purchased. They are not. They are definitely a warm beige albeit not quite as yellow/warm as the advertised image appears. I would upload a photo of the curtains by the beige Pax for comparison but I cannot seem to find an option to share an image.5

    These curtains are wonderful. They darken the room and block out the sun. Easy to hang and they fall perfectly. They look romantic and enhance the look of our bedroom decor love them!

    Not quite blockout, but very close to being one! They make the room very dark. We love the thickness and feel of those curtains. Great color! Haven't noticed any shrinkage after the wash and preventive stretching while still damp.

    Room darkening fabric

    The room darkening fabric lets in a small amount of daylight, when it is brighter outside and darkens the room. It prevents glare on TV’s and digital screens. It gives you a strong sense of privacy as people cannot see in day or night. Silhouettes and light indoors are barely perceived.

    Material

    What is polyester?

    Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
