Substantial and attractive kit, but niggles …Anonymous reviewerThe castors are described as "rubber-coated" but if so it's a very hard rubber, so I'm hoping they don't damage my new laminate floor !
It's 48cm deep; the drawers measure 42cm internally; when open, one can fully see only 27cm, so there is at least 10cm [wasted?] space for stuff to get lost at the back of each drawer.

Solid storageAnonymous reviewerThese drawer units are sturdy pieces of storage. With 3 narrow drawers on top and 3 slightly deeper drawers underneath, they manage to actually hold quite a bit. They are heavy and I am pleased with the castors so I can move them about without too much effort. The instructions were clear and they went together without too much head scratching and could be done by one person.

Solidly built. Anonymous reviewerThis is a great set of shallow drawers. I'm using it in my workshop for storing small tools so they can be laid out a d not piled on top of each other.
The castors make it mobile so I can move it easy to where the tools are needed.
The cabinet is strong enough for small workshop machines to be placed on the top.
Assembly was simple as long as you look carefully at the diagrams.
Hoping to buy another set of drawers once I get my workshop reorganised.

Yes A2 paper fitsAnonymous reviewerIf, like me, you’re thinking of buying this to use as a cheap alternative to a ‘plans chest’ to store A2 paper then don’t worry, I can assure you that A2 pads/sheets will fit (just) in each drawer. However, it’s close. On the short side there is barely a couple of mm room and on the long side there is just 6 or 7mm room. This means that an A2 pad will drop right in, nice and snug, but getting it out again is a bit trickier (well it is with my fat fingers) what I ended up doing was creating tabs on every A2 pad with masking tape doubled over at the hinge end. That way you have something to pull on. Individual A2 sheets are easier to pick up especially if they’re lightweight, heavier weight paper and card you might need to slide the end of a palette knife under them to flip one end up. I’m very happy with this unit. It looks good, holds all my A2 paper, I can wheel it under my desk in the studio out of the way. It was straightforward to put together on my own.

Alex drawersAnonymous reviewerThe drawers are a good size and it wasn't too difficult to assemble. But, while I was assembling one of the large drawers it slipped and fell a very short distance. The corner crumbled into dust. So I'm not sure about the quality. I stuck it back together with glue and tape.

What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
