All of our mattresses can be used immediately, but keep in mind that a packaged mattress only regains its full shape and comfort after approximately 72 hours. Your body also needs a couple of weeks to adapt to the new mattress.

Sometimes the mattress has a noticeable smell when you open the packaging. The smell isn’t harmful or toxic and disappears over time. Airing and vacuuming the mattress helps to eliminate the smell faster.

great for loft bed with low ceiling clarenceAnonymous revieweri bought this in 2021 for my loft bed in room with low ceiling. it was my first full foam mattress and i went medium firm for it , after 4 years on loft bed that had only a plywood base in i finally moved to a bed with slats and i found it the mattress more comfy after doing so when im sitting on it upright with legs over side of bed yes you can feel slats but laying down you cant i have UK single size, and its served me well and i will be buying another one soon for the daybed in my spare room (additional info) im an adult female weighing 66kg and its been a good mattress for me.5

Two years in completely sunken no amount of turning or flipping is saving it. Now getting subpar sleep. Will be changing for a reputable hybrid instead. Not comfortable at all for long term use!!Anonymous reviewerI bought 2 of these mattresses for the Hemnes daybed. I have only been using the bed as a single not double. In the space of a year I have rotated both mattresses a number of times to try and have the most support for my body. However, both have ended up with sink holes in where I have been laid and caused a lot of back pain (which I already struggle with prior to this anyway due to chronic health conditions). My pain has increased since sleeping on this and also finding neck pain. Presuming this is due to my spine not being in the correct position when sleeping due to the lack of support in the mattress! For context, I am a 5ft 4 female and weigh 7 & a half stone and the mattress has still sunken in!! I am now going to have to buy either 2 different styles of IKEA single mattresses (so I have a spare for when I extend to a double) or 2 different branded singles or a double! I would definitely consider this before buying the Hemmes bed & this style of mattress. Very frustrating! :(2
