Reviews

Cheap and awfulAnonymous reviewerInstalling the mesh grease filters is a nightmare. Sharp edges and just won’t sit right. Dissatisfied with the quality and ease of use. Looks and feels cheap.2
Looks good but recirculating is nastyAnonymous reviewerTotally happy with the look and feel of this, and find the lights v helpful for cooking. But I'm using this in recirculating mode and after 12 months of use it has created a horrible grease blotch on the wall where the air vents. I've just been through the manual assuming we'd missed a filter, but no the 2 charcoal filters are on as per the instructions. We're both vegetarian and don't deep fry!3
Great productAnonymous reviewerEasy to secure. Easy to operate!5
Stainless Steel trim is not stainlessAnonymous reviewerThe stainless steel pull out handle has started to tarnish after a few months of use. Really disappointed!3
Not best qualityAnonymous reviewerThe finish could be better, control buttons not sitting square to cabinet. Unit doesn't feel particularly robust. Unit is relatively noisy compared to other manufacturers.4
Neat and smartAnonymous reviewerExcellent has storage and a nice sleek look works well5
Integrated Cooker HoodAnonymous reviewerBought this cooker hood because it matched what was similar to what was installed as I have an IKEA kitchen. Checked my measurements because it was integrated so sizes needed to be accurate. It fitted perfectly with some tweaks to the fan tubing for an external exhaust. It is very light in construction which made it easier for fitting, good illumination from the 2 lights, powerful exhaust fan with 3 speed settings.5
Happy with our extractor fanAnonymous reviewerLovely discreet extractor fan, works well, handy lights which cast a nice glow into the room at night5
Quality cheap and flimsyAnonymous reviewer I replaced this but is so much thinner less sturdy not as stylish or efficient. Poor Quality Very fiddly to install 2
Range hoodAnonymous reviewerAverage. Very noisy and you can’t Turn on the lights separately from the fan2
Good quality and nice designAnonymous reviewerWe are very satisfied 5
Discrete extractorAnonymous reviewerThis extractor unit is not too difficult to fit and is hidden completely within a standard upper cabinet. The amount of storage space left within the cabinet is not great, but still very useful. Ours was connected to an outside vent through a hole in the wall and there is an electrical socket (now hidden) behind the cabinet. If there was an extractor there previously, this unit should fit, but please do measure accurately. When installed and you open the door you see one shelf with the metal extractor tube occupying it. We got an extra shelf, cut it to fit halfway down, fitted it vertically and it covers it nicely. 5
The lights are handy but it's very noisyAnonymous reviewerLooks very neat and handy pull out mechanism but very noisy and doesn't seem to really extract the smells of cooking3
Quality slipped now very cheap and flimsyAnonymous reviewerI bought this to replace an existing Utdrag in a rental flat that had broken after 5 years thinking this would be the same. Its definitely not and has been redesigned, in contrast to the one I replaced everything is thinner less sturdy fiddly to fit and not as stylish or efficient. I have another one from 10 years ago that is still working and excellent - the new one is just a watered down version and not in a good way...1

the hood product works asAnonymous reviewerthe hood product works as you expected5
Compact and great priceAnonymous reviewerCompact and great price1
not bad but certainly not greatAnonymous reviewerthis is the second one we had to buy to replace the existing one (Ikea kitchen easy swap like for like). anyway not the best suction, best to use 125mm ducting but the worst part was the light won't stay on unless the hood is pulled fully out3
It's just o.k.Anonymous reviewerIt is o.k. looks cheap and doesn't add anything looks of kitchen. Works ok.2

Function solution

Sound levels

Sound levels for appliances are measured in decibels (dBs). Our extractor hoods have been tested in speed 3 to determine the dB level. The sound level of your extractor hood is affected by: • Type of installation. Exhaust-mode or recirculation-mode. • Length and diameter of the exhaust pipe between extractor and exhaust vent. The longer it is and the smaller the diameter, the louder it gets. • 90° bends. The more bends you have in the exhaust pipe, the greater the sound.

Quality

Sensitive to noise or have an open-plan home?

For extractor hoods, a noise level below 60 dB is considered low – roughly equivalent to a normal conversation between two people. We measure the noise level of our hoods at max speed, making it easier to compare different models. Note that sound levels decrease at lower speeds, and recirculating hoods are typically louder than those vented outdoors. Noise may also increase if the ducting is long or has several bends, as the air has to work harder to pass through the system.
