Product information severely lackingAnonymous reviewerThe 'instructions' are, even by IKEA's standards, dreadful. No explanation is given for the rows of 9 unequally spaced holes. Worst of all, no mention is made that it is only suitable for handles with fixing centres 480mm or less apart so no use for 597mm Kallror. In any event, £3 for a piece of bent plastic that should come with the handles - really?!
Not as helpful as I hopedAnonymous reviewerThere are some simple ways IKEA could improve the product description to know if this would be useful for your purposes. First, if this is specifically designed for drilling holes into particular IKEA furniture, say so! Secondly, there are measurement markings across the top that are not immediately obvious. A small explanation of what they mean would be helpful. Third, this is only really useful if you rest it on an edge, so if you want to drill holes further away than the width of the guide, it’s basically just a ruler (without clear measurements).
I wanted to use this to hang 3 individual hooks on the back of an internal door, and thought it would help me space them out equally. However, it’s just given me a different set of calculations and measurements to make that might not even be more intuitive than a ruler and a spirit level.
