“We designed a frame that looks like a square with small legs,” explains Anders. It’s a shape that’s used throughout the series, from chairs to tables. “The frame gives NÄMMARÖ a uniform and contemporary look. It’s also modular thinking that simplifies the production and lowers the cost. And since NÄMMARÖ doesn’t have any curved shapes, the products are easy to pack in flat packages.” It contributes to a lower price and saves valuable space during transport – all the way from the factory to the customer’s home.

Extremely poor quality – warped and cracked within a yearAnonymous reviewerPoor quality. Warped and cracked within a year. I bought four of these privacy screens a year ago, a significant expense. All four have deteriorated badly. The panels have warped and the wooden sections connecting the feet to the panels have also cracked, which seems to be a weakness in the construction, as wood naturally expands and contracts. I contacted IKEA but was told nothing could be done because I had not followed the care instructions, including treating them once or twice a year and covering them. I have not even had these screens outside for a full year, so it is unreasonable to use this guidance to reject a complaint about warping and structural cracking. These are sold as indoor/outdoor screens and should withstand outdoor conditions. Spending so much on four screens for them to deteriorate so quickly is extremely disappointing. IKEA's refusal to help is disappointing. Poor quality and customer service. I would not recommend these, and I have been mightily put off IKEA.

Not good for privacyAnonymous reviewerThe wood is a pretty color and it looks nice, but this is not an effective privacy screen, the space between slats is HUGE. We bought this for a balcony divider between us and the neighbors, and it offers even less coverage then our built in divider. We're going to try attaching a bamboo curtain on top of it but that's an extra $45 and we shouldn't have to do that. Really disappointed because it's so close to being perfect!

Nice colour and love the wood.Anonymous reviewerFiddly to assemble. It is quicker to have two people as the rod when tightening the screw turns around, so easier to be held at one end with the allen key whilst 2nd person tightens the opposite end.
I found it easier and quicker too, to assemble upright like an abacus rather than follow the instructions and lay on the floor. I purchased 5 to fix horizontal against an old fence so didn’t require the feet. Really pleased with the outcome. The wood is stronger and the slats are closer together than expected which is a bonus. Looks the part.
Had purchased previous design which were horizontal slats rather than this being vertical and 160cm rather than a 140. I think the newer version is stronger design even though it’s shorter in height.
A bit pricey but happy with the purchase.

We bought 4 to surround our outdoor boiler and it has worked a treat, now looking very smart. My husband is a bit of a DIY whizz, and had no issues whatsoever in putting the screens together. In relation to the comments about the wind causing them to fall, we have weighted the feet with some excess block pavers left over from another job. Brilliant, and although a little more expensive than our original plan to buy feather boards and build a fence, the time saved was immense, and worth every penny. One complaint, they weren’t available for delivery?? Nor from our local store, Exeter! We had to do click and collect from Bristol, a horrible journey, and not our favourite store!!
