Collect from a locker pick-up point

Free for orders over £200, £10 for all other orders

IKEA has partnered with Shift to allow orders to be placed online and picked up from their self-serve collection lockers.

You will receive collection instructions including address, locker number and unique PIN to open your locker in your confirmation email.

We currently have locker pick-up points in:

IKEA has partnered with Tesco allowing orders to be placed online and picked up from our transport provider's vehicle in confirmed Tesco customer car parks.

Vehicles will be parked adjacent to the Tesco Click and Collect area with operatives to hand the orders out. Please show your confirmation order to our transport partner upon arrival.

We currently have mobile pick-up points in:

Collect from a DPD pick-up point

Free for orders over £100, £2 for all other orders

Collect from a choice of local convenience stores, post offices and more via DPD pick-up points.

Please note, this is only available for smaller-size parcel orders.

How it works

  1. Put your desired items in your online shopping cart. 
  2. Select 'Collect from a partner location' or 'Collect from DPD pick-up point' under “Click and collect”. Please note you will only be presented with this option if your postcode is within a 30-mile radius of a pick-up point or if your order is available for parcel delivery.
  3. Choose a location which best suits you.
  4. Choose an available collection time. Complete your order.
  5. Live your life while we gather your items. You'll be notified via e-mail by IKEA or by our transport partner once your order is ready to collect with instructions on how to make your collection.
  6. Go to your chosen pick-up point during your time slot.
  7. Collect your order, load it into your vehicle and drive home.

Good-to-know basics 

  • Ensure you have a suitably sized vehicle for your order.
  • The self-serve lockers are a self-serve service, so there will be no one to support you in loading your order so consider bringing a helping hand to load your goods if necessary.
  • Due to high demand, time slots may be limited, available times are listed during online check-out.
  • Consider package dimensions and weights, so your order will fit in your vehicle. This information is on each product’s webpage.
  • Consider any additional packaging you may need to bring if you have ordered fragile and delicate items.
  • Want an order update? If you have an order confirmation number, you can track your order.

Frequently asked questions

  • At present, only postcodes within a 30 miles radius of a locker or mobile pick-up point will show these options available in the checkout.

  • DPD pick-up points

    Orders will ideally be available within 2-3 days from your date of purchase at your chosen DPD pick-up point. All available timeslots will be displayed in the checkout.

    Self-serve locker pick-up points

    Orders will ideally be available the 2 days from your date of purchase. Orders can be placed up to 11 pm for collection from 7 am 2 days ahead. For example, orders placed at 11 pm on Monday can be collected from 7 am Wednesday. 

    Mobile pick-up points

    Orders will ideally be available the next day from your date of purchase. Orders can be placed up to 3 pm for collection the next day and after 3 pm for collection 2 days ahead. For example, orders placed at 2 pm on Monday can be collected on Tuesday from 10 am and if ordered at 4 pm can be collected on Wednesday from 10 am

  • DPD pick-up points

    The collection window depends on the DPD pick-up point. You will receive an email once your order has been received with further information about your collection window.

    Self-serve locker pick-up points

    We will have 2 collection windows to choose from for the on any given day, these are:

    • 07:00 - 11:00
    • 17:00 - 21:00

    If a slot is not showing as available in the checkout, this will be because all available slots have already been booked within that specific time window.

    Mobile pick-up points

    We will have 3 collection windows which is:

    • 10:00 - 12:00
    • 12:00 - 14:00
    • 14:00 - 16:00

    If a slot is not showing as available in the checkout, this will be because all available slots have already been booked within that specific time window.

  • During the checkout you will be able to select a date and time to collect your order. 

    Once your order is ready, you will receive a collection notification email from IKEA, DPD or from our transport partner, Shift, please endeavour to collect your order within your chosen time window.

  • Orders can be booked up to 3 days in advance for both locker and mobile pick-up points.

    For DPD pick-up point orders, this can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance dependent on the pick-up point. More information about available pick-up dates is available in the checkout.

  • DPD pick-up points

    For collection at a DPD pick-up point, only smaller-size parcel orders will be accepted with a maximum size of 60x60x60cm, maximum weight 10kg. 

    Locker and mobile pick-up points

    Yes, the maximum weight per order is 500kg.

  • DPD pick-up points

    For collection at an external DPD pick-up point please follow your order confirmation email instructions.   

    Self-serve locker pick-up points

    Your booking confirmation will have the full address details for your collection point and instructions on how to collect your order.

    Within the confirmation email you would have been provided with a locker number and unique PIN code by Shift, once you arrive at the collection point and locate your locker, enter the unique PIN code and the locker will open.

    Please ensure you have a sutiable sized vehicle for your order and you can unload the locker by yourself as the lockers are unmanned.

    Mobile pick-up points

    Your booking confirmation will have the full address details for your collection point and instructions on how to collect your order. There will be communication in the car park where out transport providers vehicle will be parked waiting to handover your order.

    Within the confirmation email you will receive an order confirmation number please have this available to show along with proof of ID in the form of a current photo driver's license, payment card or passport. Show these details to our transport provider operatives to receive your order.

    Please ensure you have a suitable sized vehicle for your order.

  • DPD pick-up points

    We ask you to collect your order only during your allocated time window.

    If you do not pick up your order on your selected day and collection slot, the order will be cancelled and a refund will be processed. 

    Self-serve locker pick-up points

    We ask you to collect your order only during your allocated time window.

    If you are no longer able to collect in the allocated window, we ask that you contact Shift via the number provided in the collection email.

    Mobile pick-up points

    We ask you to collect your order only during your allocated time window.

    If you are no longer able to collect your order in the allocated window, the order will be returned to IKEA and a refund will be issued within 14 days to your original payment method.

  • DPD pick-up points

    In the unlikely event that you have a damaged or missing product – please inform the representative on-site at the pick-up point, any damaged products can be left with the representative. We will then be in touch to arrange a replacement via your preferred method.

    In the unlikely event that you have a damaged or missing product – please call the Shift helpline 020 3479 3111.

  • DPD pick-up points

    You can cancel your order through the IKEA Track and Manage my order page or by contacting IKEA Customer Services.

    Self-serve locker pick-up points

    If you can no longer collect your order, Shift can offer a delivery service for your order (this will be an additional fee).

    Alternatively, you can cancel your order through the IKEA Track and Manage my order page or by contacting IKEA Customer Services.

  • DPD pick-up points

    If you do not pick up your order on your selected day and collection slot, the order will be cancelled and a refund will be processed. 

    Self-serve locker pick-up points

    Your order will be held at the pick-up location for up to 24 hours past your chosen time slot, following this, the order will be returned to IKEA and a refund will be issued within 14 days to your original payment method.

    Mobile pick-up points

    The order will be returned to IKEA and a refund will be issued within 14 days to your original payment method.

  • At present, we are unable to accept returns at any partner locations.

    IKEA, DPD or our partner, Shift, will provide you with order updates via email and text. These include order confirmation, collection details and pick-up confirmation.
