Småland & Family facilities
Småland
We like to make visiting IKEA both fun for kids and easier for grown-ups. Småland is our free supervised play area, located at the entrance of our stores. IKEA Småland co-workers will take care of your children for free for 60 minutes while you can enjoy shopping in-store.
Family friendly toilets / baby care rooms
Each store offers family friendly toilets located in all toilet areas as well as nursing and changing facilities. These contain step stools and toilet seat boosters in each family toilet cubicle.
There are nappy vending machines and pull down changing tables in both male and female toilets, with separate changing facilities available.
We are also proud to offer accessible places to change in many of our stores.
Baby feeding area
At IKEA, we invite mothers to breastfeed where they wish.
We also have a nursing area within the restaurant that offers a calm and private environment if preferred.
Accessibility & assistance
At IKEA, accessibility, diversity and inclusion are embedded in our vision to create a better everyday life for the many people. That's why we are committed to being as accessible as possible, so that everyone has a wonderful shopping experience whenever, wherever and however they choose to shop.

Hearing loops
We have hearing loops in numerous locations throughout each store. These are indicated by signage and can be accessed by switching to the T setting or hearing loop programme on your hearing aid.
At IKEA, accessibility is a key priority. That’s why we’ve partnered with AccessAble, a specialist organisation that provides detailed accessibility guides to help everyone navigate our stores with confidence.
Each IKEA store has its own guide, offering practical information for disabled customers. You can explore the guides here: www.accessable.co.uk/ikea.
