Can I find out how old my appliance is?

All IKEA appliances have a type label with a four digit number indicating the year and the week the product was manufactured. The label is located inside the appliance, except for our hobs, where it is placed underneath.

Below you can see where to find the label on each type of applience:

In dishwashers the label can be found on the side of the door.
In fridges and combined fridge-freezers, the label can be found on the back of the refrigerator's vegetable compartment.
In freezers the label can be found behind the bottom drawer.
In ovens the label can be found on the inside of the oven on the right.
In microwave ovens the label can be found on the inside of the microwave oven on the right.
In Extractor hoods the label can be found behind the grease filter on the left.
On the hob the label can be found on the underside of the hob (except for FÖRDELAKTIG, where the label can be found on the cooker hood).
In washing machines the label can be found inside the door on the right.

Sometimes it happens so unfortunately that the home appliance starts to act up. We have compiled guidance for handling such situations on the Appliances Complaints page, so that the issue can be checked and resolved as smoothly as possible.
