How does IKEA assembly service work?

With Kokodiili, Remontti Idea and REMmontera assembly service, trusted taskers can install your IKEA furniture in your home. You can book assembly in‑store or online during checkout.

This is how assembly service work:
Book and pay for the Assembly Service in-store or online during your checkout process:

a) Select the IKEA products you want online or in-store.
b) On the product pages, you can check whether assembly service is available for the item. In-store, a sales associate can provide this information.
c) In your shopping cart, you will see whether assembly service is available for your postal code and the cost of the service for your order. If you are shopping in-store, the sales associate will give you this information.
d) You can also choose assembly service for only some of the items if you prefer to assemble part of your order yourself.
e) In the online shopping cart, first select a delivery date and then choose an available assembly time slot. In-store, the sales associate will show you the available options.
f) After that, you pay for the entire order.
g) The initial assembly time window is set for the full day. Our partner will contact you 2 days before the scheduled assembly date to agree on a more precise time that works for you.
h) The service only covers the assembly of IKEA products.

You can also request assembly services directly from Kokodiili, Remontti Idea or REMmontera at any time. In this case, the booking is made directly through them.

After payment:
  1. Check your email and phone. For the assembly service, you will receive a standard IKEA order confirmation and a satisfaction survey, as well as contact from the service provider, usually by phone, to confirm the exact time.
  2. Change or reschedule if needed. If you need to reschedule or cancel your assembly appointment please contact us via chat or email.
  3. Leave your to-be-assembled products in the original packaging. Place the packages in the room where you want them to be assembled, and make sure that the room is a safe area for the Tasker to perform the assembly.
  4. The Tasker arrives at your home or office to complete the assembly at the agreed-upon date and time
