How does Click & Collect work?

To get your project started even faster, simply order your products online and pick them up conveniently at a location of your choice. Once you have entered your zip code, we will show you all available delivery methods. Select "Click & Collect" and choose your pick-up location and time slot. All you need to do now is enter your personal details and you can complete your order. You will find the order confirmation in your mailbox. As soon as your cart is packed for you, we will send you an email or text message.

1. Place an order

  • Select items: Add your products to the shopping cart.
  • Select order option: Enter your zip code to check the available order options and select "Click & Collect". You will be shown all available pick-up points in your area - from IKEA stores to pick-up points and pick-up boxes.
  • Availability: If you are not offered any pick-up location or only a distant location, this is due to short-term high demand for your product. Don't worry - we are already checking our stock levels for you behind the scenes. You can simply complete the order later or choose a different order method.
  • Personal data: Enter you billing address. We will only use you email adress and telephone number for the order confirmation and in case of questions about your order.
  • Memberships: IKEA Family members and IKEA Business Network members benefit form lower prices. The prices adjust automatically as soon as you are logged into your profile and the requirements are met.
  • Everything included? Go through your order overview and check whether you have included everything you need for your project. If everything fits, you can safely complete your purchase.
  • Order confirmation: After completing your order, you will receive a confirmation email. In it you will find your pick-up location and time slot. If you can't find a message from us in your inbox, please take a quick look in your spam folder.
  • Change order: We will prepare your purchase for you immediately. This is why no products can be deleted or added to orders that have already been placed. However, you can cancel your "Click & Collect" order yourself online or postpone it to another day. You can easily manage and track your order via this link: Track & manage my order.

2. Order processing

  • Preparation: Your order will be reserved for you directly at the pick-up location.
  • Ready for pick-up: We will let you know by email or SMS as soon as your products are ready for you to pick up. You can always keep an eye on your order via our online service: Track & manage my order. If you have not received an email from us shortly before your time slot, please contact our IKEA Customer Support - we will take care of it!
  • Pin code: If you have opted for a collection box, you will receive you pin code by SMS.

3. Collection

  • Find your way: Information on service times and addresses of all collection locations can be found online at IKEA locations in Germany. The "Click & Collect" area is well signposted on-site and is often open before regular store hours. Please note: Collection does not take place at the main entrance. If you have opted for a collection box, you can park conveniently in front of it. All entrances are fully accessably.
  • Assistance with loading: If your order contains heavy or bulky items, it is best to bring someone with you to help. We will hand over your order ready packed in one or more trolley carts. This way, you can get your products to your vehicle quickly and easily.
  • Time slot: Please come to the pick-up area during your selected time slot. The pick-up area is usually located near the goods‑return area.
  • Required documents: Please show your order confirmation together with a photo ID. A digital version on your smartphone is perfectly sufficient. If someone else is picking up your order for you, they will also need a signed authorization letter. You can find a template online: Power of attorney.
  • If you can't come: Sometimes life just gets in the way. We understand that, so we will send you a small reminder with an extended time slot or immediately arrange a refund of the value of the goods and the service costs to your original method of payment.
  • You do not have a pin code for the pick-up box? If you need a new pin code, please visit us at the customer support desk in you IKEA store during open hours. Our on-site staff will be happy to help you in person, as a request by phone or email is not possible for security reasons.
  • Support: If something is missing or damaged, please contact our IKEA IKEA customer support team on-site - we'll take care of it!
