How does the Click & Collect service work?

Would you like to reserve products so that your project can start even faster? Simply order your products online and pick them up conveniently at a location of your choice. Once you've entered your zip code, we'll show you all the available shipping methods, select "Click & Collect" and choose your pick-up location and time slot. Now all that's missing is your personal data and you can complete the order. You will find the order confirmation in your mailbox. Once your cart is packed for you, we'll send you an email or text message.

1. Place an order

  • Make a selection: Add your products to the shopping cart.
  • Choose delivery method: Enter your zip code to check the available delivery methods and select "Click & Collect". You'll see all the available pick-up locations near you, from IKEA stores to pick-up points and pick-up boxes.
  • Availability: If you are not offered a pick-up location or only a far away location, this is due to a short-term high demand for your product. Don't worry – we are already checking the stocks for you in the background. You can simply complete the order later or choose a different delivery method.
  • Personal data: Enter your billing address. We will only use your email address and phone number for order confirmation and for questions about your order.
  • Memberships: IKEA Family members and IKEA Business Network members benefit from lower prices. The prices adjust automatically as soon as you enter your Profile are logged in and the requirements are met.
  • Everything included? Briefly go through your order overview and see if you have found everything for your project. If everything fits, you can complete your purchase safely.
  • Order confirmation: After completing your order, you will receive a confirmation email. In it, you'll find your pickup location and time slot. If you don't find a message from us in your inbox, please take a quick look at your spam folder.
  • Change Order: We prepare your purchase for you immediately, so no products can be deleted or added to orders that have already been placed. However, you can cancel your "Click&Collect" order yourself online or postpone it to another day. Under this link you can easily manage and track your order: Track and manage your order.

2. Order processing

  • Deployment: Your order will be reserved for you directly at the pick-up location.
  • Ready for pickup: We'll let you know by email or text message as soon as your products are ready for you and you can pick them up. You can always keep an eye on your order via our online service: Track and manage your order. If you haven't received an email from us shortly before your time slot, please contact our IKEA Customer Service – we take care of it!
  • Pick-up code: If you have chosen a pick-up box, you will receive your pin code via SMS.
  • Technical malfunction of the pick-up box: In this case, please contact IKEA Customer Service in the IKEA store.

3. Pick-up

  • Finding the way: You can find information about the service hours and addresses of all pick-up locations online at IKEA LocationsThe "Click&Collect" area is well signposted on site and often opens for you before regular business hours. Please note: Pick-up does not take place at the main entrance. If you have chosen a pick-up box, you can easily park in front of it. All entrances are barrier-free.
  • Assistance with loading: If your order contains heavy or bulky products, it's best to bring someone with you to help you. We hand over your order to you fully packed, in one or more shopping carts. This way you can get your products to your vehicle quickly and easily.
  • Time Window: Please come to the pick-up area during your selected timeslot, which is usually located near the return area.
  • Evidence: Show your order confirmation along with a photo ID. A digital proof on your smartphone is sufficient. If someone else picks up for you, that person will also need a signed power of attorney. You can find a template online: Power of attorney.
  • If you can't come: Sometimes life just gets in the way. We understand that, so we'll send you a small reminder with an extended time window or immediately arrange a refund of the value of the goods and service costs to your original means of payment.
  • You don't have a pin code for the pick-up box? If you need a new pin code, please visit us at the customer service desk in your IKEA store during opening hours. Our local staff will be happy to help you personally, as a request by phone or email is not possible for security reasons.
  • Pick-up box full?: You can't transport all your ordered items from the pick-up box? That's not a problem. You can use your access code within the time window multiple times. It remains unchanged even if it is opened repeatedly.
  • Your order is here! Your satisfaction is important to us. That's why we ask you to check your order and packaging carefully.
  • Support: If something is missing or damaged, it's best to contact our local IKEA customer service team right away - we'll take care of it!
