How the Småland play area works

  • Visit the Småland play area. If your child is between 3 and 9 years old, you can register your child at the Småland registration kiosks at the entrance to our stores. If the play area is full, and you wish to register in the virtual queue, you will be informed at the registration.
  • Fill in a registration form for yourself and your child at one of our self-service kiosks. A parent or guardian can register a child, but they must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Enjoy 60 minutes of shopping (120 minutes for IKEA FAMILY members) in our store while your child draws, reads books or plays with lots of imaginative and interactive toys, such as a ball pool.
  • Pick up your child. You'll receive a notification when it's time to pick up your child(ren). Please note that the person who has registered a child must be the person who picks them up.
