IKEA guarantees

Most IKEA products have a 2-year guarantee. We provide an extended guarantee of 5, 10, 15 and 25 years for some of our products. The guarantee period is stated for individual products. Live flowers, electric batteries, light bulbs, IKEA FAMILY textiles and food are covered by statutory guarantee. Products from the discounted goods department are covered by a guarantee period of 1 year. However, this does not apply to defects that were the reason for which a product was discounted. Guarantees apply to household use only.

While we do our utmost to supply high-quality products with a long service life, it sometimes happens that a product needs to be returned during its guarantee period due to various manufacturing or other defects. Once we acknowledge a claim, we will either repair, exchange or refund the goods to you according to the valid conditions for returning them.

You can place your claim:

  • In the store - the fastest and most effective solution. Bring the product and the receipt to the Customer Service department, where we will immediately replace it when your claim is recognised.

  • Through the Customer Support Centre - contact our Customer Support Centre and resolve your claim. If you have the receipt and the product to hand, simply fill out the Return form.
