Shopping at IKEA stores
We want you to leave our stores with not only a more beautiful home in a bag or your car boot, but also with a pleasant feeling that you've had a great experience. So here are some tips on how to make shopping with us easier. IKEA stores offer free parking and easy wheelchair access. Everything you need is available right at the entrance: pencils, paper, meter, store guides, catalogues, shopping bags and shopping trolleys for you and your children.
A great place for the whole family
Take a trip to IKEA with the whole family - we can cater for even the smallest members of your group! To ensure a pleasant experience, we have prepared for you:
- Playgrounds and lockers throughout the store
- SMÅLAND children's play area
- Children's shopping trolleys
- Nappy-changing rooms and toilets
- Healthy food for children, microwave ovens, children's tableware, cutlery and high chairs for a real gourmet experience at IKEA restaurants
Like at home
- Spend time in our showroom, get inspiration and try out the products on display. Carefully test the upholstery, stroke the oriental carpets, do a load test on our mattresses and open each cabinet so you have a clear idea of the quality
- When you find something you like, you will find all the important information on the price tag, including the aisle number and shelf where the goods are stored. In some cases, however, you may have to go ask one of our co-workers, who will be happy to order the selected items for you.
Rest and something to eat
- Shopping is fun, but sometimes it can be tiring. Tempt yourself with the smell of Swedish meatballs or 100% Arabica coffee with dessert and take a lunch break on the second floor, where you will find our IKEA Restaurant and Cafe, where a selection of delicious, reasonably priced foods, including Swedish classics, await you.
- The IKEA Restaurant and Cafe also has a children's menu, a play area for children, baby dishes and highchairs. Of course there are microwave ovens, where you can heat up food you bring to the table.
What payment methods do we offer?
Whether you prefer to shop in person at an IKEA store or to buy from home, we offer you a number of different methods of paying for your purchases so that it is as convenient as possible for you.
Self-service kiosks
Each store has many kiosks located throughout all the store. What all you can you do in our self-service kiosks
- Search products, read reviews, see stock availability, check price and locations of products in store.
- Create shopping lists and send them to your phone – so you don´t need any pen and paper.
- Check our IKEA Family offers.
- Or, for example, design your sofa in our planners in the living room department.
- And much more! New functions are coming soon.
Pick up the products yourself ...
You can pick up selected products in the self-service warehouse. All you need is the number of the aisle and shelf where your product is stored.
... or we'll help you
At IKEA, you can also decide whether you want to do everything yourself, or leave it to us.
Take it home ...
Most of our furniture is packed in flat packaging. This means that after visiting the store, you can take your purchases home immediately.
... or have them delivered
But if you want, we can deliver goods to your room of choice.
If you change your mind ...
Changed your mind? That's fine. If you've taken an IKEA product home and later change your mind about your purchase, you have 365 days to return it.
... and if something goes wrong
If there's something missing from your flat package or it contains damaged goods, we're here to help.
