What general delivery conditions and requirements apply at IKEA?
Most IKEA products can be delivered within Austria. Whether delivery is available depends on your location, the size of your order, the type of product and the conditions at the delivery address.
Most IKEA products can be delivered. However, deliveries cannot be made to PO boxes, unsafe locations or addresses outside Austria. Delivery availability depends on your location, the size of your order and the product type, as certain fragile, oversized or seasonal items may have restrictions. To ensure a smooth delivery, please provide accurate address details and all relevant access or delivery instructions.
1. ENSURE SAFE ACCESS TO THE DELIVERY LOCATION
For all delivery options, sufficient, clear and safe access to the delivery location must be available.
Provide all relevant delivery details when placing your order.
Deliveries cannot be made to:
- PO boxes
- addresses with unsafe access, such as construction sites
- incomplete residential or commercial buildings
2. CHECK PRODUCT DELIVERY AVAILABILITY
Most IKEA products can be delivered. However, some items may only be available for purchase at an IKEA store.
Restricted or non-deliverable items may include:
- fragile products such as glassware and mirrors
- oversized items
- seasonal products
- live plants
- food products from the Swedish Food Market
To check whether an item can be delivered:
- Find the product on the IKEA website.
- Open the “How to get it” section on the product page.
3. CHECK THE DELIVERY AREA
IKEA Austria delivers only to delivery addresses within Austria. International delivery through IKEA Austria is currently not available, including to addresses close to the Austrian border.
If you live outside Austria, you can order through the IKEA website for your country. If you found a specific product on IKEA.at, use the article number to check whether it is available on your country's IKEA website.
How to check available delivery options
Open the product page on IKEA.at and enter your postcode in the “How to get it” section. If you are ordering several items, the available delivery options will also be shown during checkout.
Please note: IKEA products cannot be transferred from one IKEA store to another.
4. CHECK THE MINIMUM ORDER VALUE
A minimum order value of €25 applies to parcel delivery and truck delivery. Some products may also require a minimum quantity per order.
The delivery options available to you are automatically displayed at checkout based on:
- the order value
- the size
- the number of items
5. PROVIDE COMPLETE DELIVERY DETAILS
Provide the exact delivery location and all relevant access and delivery information when placing your order. This helps ensure that your order can be delivered smoothly.
