What general delivery conditions and requirements apply at IKEA?

Most IKEA products can be delivered within Austria. Whether delivery is available depends on your location, the size of your order, the type of product and the conditions at the delivery address.

Most IKEA products can be delivered, but not to PO boxes, unsafe locations or addresses outside Austria. Delivery availability depends on your location, the size of your order and the type of product, as certain fragile, oversized or seasonal items may be subject to restrictions. To ensure that your order can be delivered smoothly, please provide the correct address details and all relevant access or delivery instructions.

1. Make sure there is safe access

For all delivery options, there must be sufficient, clear and safe access to the delivery location.
Please provide all relevant delivery details when placing your order.
Deliveries cannot be made to:
  • PO boxes
  • addresses with unsafe access, such as construction sites
  • incomplete residential or commercial buildings

2. Check whether your item can be delivered

Most IKEA products can be delivered. However, some items may only be available for purchase at an IKEA store.
Restricted or non-deliverable items may include:
  • fragile products such as glassware and mirrors
  • oversized items
  • seasonal products
  • live plants
  • food products from the Swedish Food Market
To check whether an item can be delivered:
  1. Search for the product on the IKEA website.
  2. Open the “How to get it” section on the product page.

3. Check the delivery area

IKEA delivers products purchased in Austria within Austria only.
International delivery from IKEA Austria is currently not available.

How to check the available delivery methods

Open the product page on IKEA.com and enter your postcode in the “How to get it” section.
When ordering several items, the available delivery methods will also be shown during checkout.
Please note: IKEA products cannot be transferred from one IKEA store to another.

4. Check the minimum order value

A minimum order value of €25 applies to parcel deliveries and standard deliveries.
Some products also require a minimum quantity per order.
The delivery options available to you will be shown automatically during checkout, depending on:
  • the order value
  • the size
  • the number of items

5. Enter your delivery details correctly

You will be asked to provide the exact delivery location to help ensure successful delivery.
