GenAIclaims - What can I do if my IKEA product is missing parts?

If you've received a product or package that is missing parts, you can either order these items online, pick them up at an IKEA store or arrange a delivery through IKEA Customer Service, depending on the type of missing item.

Is there a part missing from your new IKEA product? No need to worry, because you can easily order spare parts online, pick them up at the store or have them delivered to your home free of charge. Please first check all packaging that you have brought home or had delivered. Some products consist of several boxes, and missing parts are often in another package.
If you are sure that one or more parts are missing, the next steps will depend on whether you have a 6- or 8-digit spare part number in the Installation instructions . Small spare parts (e.g. screws, fittings or dowels) are usually marked with such a number.

Installation instructions not at hand?

No problem, you can download them at any time on IKEA.at Retrieve:
  1. Search for the product via the Search bar.
  2. Open the tab "Product Details" → "Assembly & Documents" → "Assembly Instructions".

If you find a 6 or 8 digit number

Then you can find the missing part directly online via the spare parts form Order:

The spare part is free of charge sent to your address – usually within 14 business days.
If you use the part need faster, you can also use the IKEA store drop by (except planning studios).
Our Customer Service Desk usually carry a small selection of spare parts – if the part is in stock, you can take it with you right away.
If the part is not in stock, a member of staff will be happy to help you with the Free home delivery .

If there is no 6 or 8 digit number

If you can't find a spare part number, you have two options:

1. Visit to the IKEA store

Please bring your Purchase invoice or the cash receipt with.
If you want to use your IKEA Family Card you can also find the invoice online in the IKEA Family Account → Purchases/Orders.
In the furniture store, you go to the Customer Service Desk (usually at the entrance or exit).
A staff member will help you identify the missing piece.
If it's in stock, you can take it with you right away – otherwise, a Free delivery to your address.

2. Contact IKEA customer service

You can also contact us directly online or by phone Contact:
  • Open the chat on IKEA.at/kontakt
  • Write "I want to talk to an employee" or call us at 0800 081 061 (free of charge from all over Austria).
Hold your Order number or invoice ready – so we can quickly find the missing part and organize shipping.
