Can I choose a mattress when I return the old IKEA mattress?

When returning the old mattress, an exchange or refund is possible depending on the case.

The options available to you depend on whether you are returning your mattress because you changed your mind or because a claim has been approved.

1. Return because you changed your mind

If you return your mattress because you changed your mind, it will first be inspected at an IKEA store.
You will then receive the amount you paid in the form of an IKEA refund card.
You can use the refund card:
  • on the IKEA website
  • or at an IKEA store
to purchase any item.

2. Exchange following an approved claim

If your claim has been approved and you would like to choose a different mattress, you can select a new mattress.

You choose a less expensive mattress

If the new mattress costs less, the price difference will be refunded.

You choose a more expensive mattress

If the new mattress costs more, you will need to pay the price difference yourself.
When completing the new order, you will receive a payment link that you can use to pay the outstanding amount.
