Let us help you along the way

How do I protect fragile items when moving?

Wrap glassware, crockery, kitchenware, and other fragile items in newspaper, bubble wrap, or textiles. Label the box with "Fragile" on several sides so that you are aware of being extra careful about these boxes.

How do I avoid damaging floors and walls when moving?

Protect floors and walls by using Furniture pads, blankets and cardboard under heavy furniture. Lift instead of dragging, and cover corners and door frames with protective material in narrow passages.

How many moving boxes do I need?

How many boxes you need depends on how many things you have and how big you live, but a benchmark is 20-30 boxes for a one-room apartment, 40-60 for a two-room apartment and upwards of 80 for larger homes. Of course, it also depends on how big the moving boxes are. IKEA has the DUNDERGUBBE moving box in two sizes; 50x31x40 cm and 64x34x40 cm. But keep in mind that it is better to have a few extra than to pack too heavy.

How do I move heavy furniture safely?

Empty the furniture before lifting it. Use furniture pads, baby carriers or a pusher to reduce the load. Feel free to ask for help – it's both safer and more fun to be more than one.

How do I pack clothes smoothly?

A practical tip to make the clothes take up less space is to roll instead of folding. In addition, this technique reduces the risk of wrinkles! When it comes to packing material for the clothes, it is smart to use what you already have and that will still be included in the move - such as suitcases and other large bags. In addition, stable boxes or large bags such as FRAKTA Excellent for clothing..

What things should I pack first – and last?

Start with what you use infrequently, such as books, seasonal clothes and ornaments. Save the things you use daily – such as kitchen utensils, hygiene items and clothes – for last.
