Switch to LED this winter!
Make your home more energy efficient by switching to LED light bulbs. LEDs use up to 80% less energy and last 25 times longer than Incandescents. Try our 2-pack RYET LED bulb, 1000 lumen for only $7.99 now ($12.99 value).

How to choose the right light

- How much light do you want?
Lumens (lm) measure light output. A 400 lm LED bulb gives the same light output as a 35W incandescent bulb. But it uses only 6.3W of energy. We have light sources in 80 lm, 90 lm, 200 lm, 400 lm, 600 lm, 1000 lm and 1800 lm.

- Power consumption.
LED bulbs use much less energy compared to the old incandescent types. So you can choose them by light output – in LUMEN – rather than by power consumption (W). Watts measures the power consumption. Our light bulbs consumes from 1.1-22W.

- Check the fitting!

- Want a warmer or a cooler light?
LED bulbs containing more red portion in the spectrum provide a warm light that’s ideal for relaxing. Cooler light is ideal for working or cooking, for example.

- Features
Think about where you’ll use it. Some LED bulbs are dimmable – but not all, so do check. For spots you usually use a bulb with beam angle. Bulbs with wider beams give a general light, while bulbs with narrow beams give a directed light. Candle-shaped bulbs direct the light better in, for example, a lamp with a long shade.
Send a message of hope this holiday season
When you send a UNICEF Holiday Greeting Card, you can help bring hope, health, and happiness to children around the world.

Select from a variety of cards and feel good knowing that 100% of the proceeds from sales of UNICEFF cards goes to the US fund for UNICEF.

The U.S Fund for UNICEF supports UNICEF’s work through fundraising, advocacy, and education in the United States. IKEA is all-in for cotton from more sustainable sources
As of September 1, 2015 – all cotton used in the future production of IKEA products will come from more sustainable sources.

Cotton from more sustainable sources means that the cotton is grown with less water, less chemical fertilizer and less pesticides, while increasing profit margins for farmers leading to a better quality of life for their families, including schooling for their children through our collaborations with UNICEF and Save the Children.

Cotton is an important raw material for IKEA, used in many products, from sofas to towels. However, when grown conventionally, cotton farming uses large amounts of chemicals and water, raising costs and making it harder for farmers to earn a living. This milestone is part of a long journey to help transform the cotton industry. In 2010, IKEA together with the conservation organization WWF and other leading public and private organisations helped set up the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI).
