easy to installJanetEasy to install and nice looking . It is in a new apartment so has not really been used yet , it looks more expensive that it was.5
Stay away (or save original receipt)NathanThis faucet lasts about 1-2 years with normal use until the flexible mesh tube fails and begins to spray all over you kitchen every time you pull it down. Also Ikea will not honor their "10 year warranty" unless you save the original receipt. Even if you have alternative proof of your purchase. 1
Dazed & ConfusedChrisDon’t get me wrong I love the products from IKEA, BUT their assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. The hot & cold water hoses in the instructions say they are 3/8”, WELL they are really 1/2”. We ran into this with the disown purchased from IKEA too. We found that we had to YouTube a lot to figure out how to do some of the assembly.4
AnonymousVery happy with the faucet5
Extra patience neededAnonymous reviewerI replaced a dated faucet with this ÄLMAREN (without the pull-out spout) faucet as a quick fix— but I ended up hating it. We needed extra parts to even install it, then the water flow was way too low. I went through 3 different aerators before finding the right GPM (its a 1.5 gpm tiny junior btw). Then we found out we couldn’t even pair it with any universal side sprayers. I also found I didn’t like the one piece handle and spout design— it makes it harder to keep the area dry and clean. I replaced/returned it in less than 6 months.2
Perfect faucet!Anonymous reviewerI purchased this faucet to replace a non-IKEA faucet I had that broke. The Almaren faucet spout was not as “squared” in shape as I had wanted it to be, but the overall shape was what I wanted and the 10-year warranty sold me on it. When I installed it, the slightly angled spout meant the water flow was aimed directly to the drain in my sink which means no splash back! This faucet turned out to suit my needs more than I had imagined & now I love the angled spout!5
Looks greatAnonymousReally like the way this looks. The only two things I would say that were negative's are: the control of water flow is a little bit touchy (all or nothing) and takes time to learn. Second, for years I have used a Pür water filter that attaches to my kitchen faucet (for space saving reasons) this is one of the top selling filters in the United States. I would hope that in the near future Ikea would make an attachment that allows me to attach the Pür water filter to the Ikea faucet. You can't do that right now.4
Error in information sheetAnonymous reviewerVery attractive design, excellent function. One thing IKEA should know though is that the US nut size for the connections is not 9/16 as given in the instructions: it's 5/8. I guess thousands have told you this by now (:>). Not a big deal unless you have no tools and go out and buy the wrong spanner.5

Material

What is brass?

Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc and the amounts vary depending on the desired properties. Copper is usually the main material and the more zinc you add results in the brass being harder and stronger, but also results in it being more difficult to shape and less resistant to rust. Brass can be recycled as brass but never into its original metals. At IKEA we use brass for things like knobs, handles, frames and taps.
