      Good glass jarsNanishkaThese are not so thick, so I am very cautious with them because I feel the fragile. Yet, they are functional for their purpose. I bought them for my husband’s tea since he needs to drink 5-6 ounces every day and these jars are 5 oz; so they work great for the purpose that u bought. But I think that a little bit thicker would be better.5

However the lids are fragile and tend to break, and I've had to buy new sets just for the lids. Hej Ikea, how about making replacement lids available? It's a shame to have to toss the jars because of the flimsy lids.4

      Nice jars but…TaraNice jars but they need different lids. Please make an option with “shaker” lids. This has become an issue in our home. My husband now hates these due to the fact that when he wants to use spices he wants to have a shaker lid. 4

      What is glass?

      Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
