Beats a tiny whisk.JulieGlad to be able to get these at IKEA for a reasonable price. Hope it last.3
Works GreatRichardIt took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to put the batteries in. Open the battery door by pushing down in the direction of the arrow on the door. Put one AA battery in, negative end down and push it into place towards the rear. It will snap in place. Put another AA battery in, positive side down, and push the lid back in place towards the rear. Voilà, it is ready to go. It works great! What do you want for $3.99?5
Battery issueMadlenSo hard to get the 2 AA batteries in. I must've tried for 15 minutes before I was able to get them in properly. Shouldn't be that hard!!1
Does not workJoannaThe frother will not fit 2 AA batteries. I have tried and tried. I hate that I can't use it. Don't bother purchasing this item☹️1
Do not bother purchasingCherylIf they insist on leaving the poor design this way, they should have a video or clear instructions on how to get the batteries in. I agree with the person who said it’s not worth going all the way back to return it. It needs a redesign.1
Not worth the low price. TressaThis one got donated to charity. Even with new batteries the stirring power is mediocre, at best. Spend a few more dollars and buy one with double the power. 2
This shouldn't be that hardLisaI cannot get the batteries in. Tried what the reviews are saying but still can't get them in. I am glad some people are able to use it, but I feel like if it's this hard to get them in every time I don't want it. Why would IKEA not realize this? It's only a couple of bucks and unless you live close by it's not worth returning. IKEA you should remove this and put one out that is easier to use. After all the negative reviews about the battery you know that it's an issue.1
Milk frother operationSusieMilk frother works well... BUT .. .getting the batteries in isn't intuitive. There is nothing on the packaging that even tells you what kind of battery to use. I also needed to watch a You-tube video to see how to put them in. Apparently cheaper AA batteries are a tiny bit smaller and fit better than slightly more expensive ones. I had Energizer batteries and it took some work to get them in-- I would have quit and assumed the product was defective had I not watched the You-Tube video. This has clearly been an issue for some time-- not sure why Ikea isn't addressing it by at least adding instructions on the packaging. Once in, the frother works well so it's unfortunate that some people are likely to quit before they get it to work.4
Can't Remove BatteriesJenniferWorks great at frothing milk but it is impossible to get the batteries out. I have two of them and have the same problem with both.3
Good price! Well… not the best frother.De'RendaYes to the price! But, not the best frother. I didn’t like this one. It wasn’t as easy to turn off.2
PRODUKT Milk Frother, impossible fit on batteries, works well once batteries inJamesOK, so the hard part is getting in 2 AA batteries. There is no diagram on the product or package that I could find. There are instructions on YouTube. Basically, the lower AA battery must go in negative (-) side down, and the upper AA battery must go in positive (+) side down. Only THEN can you successfully close the battery compartment lid. Once the batteries are in, it works well. I use it to blend MCT oil into my morning coffee. Next I'll try single-serving whipped cream. My wife bought two of them for me. One had an issue where the spring coil had come off the rail. I was able to press it back on and it seems to be staying on.3
Froth CityPaulaBig league home coffee game changer. It takes batteries and once you figure out how they fit in there… you can froth cacao in your milk! Froth your smoothie! Froth some warm milk and then pour coffee over it. I’m telling you man, it’s froth city!5
Cheap piece of junkMichelleSo, no need to respond saying to return it. I live 3 hours from IKEA and only go there once a year .. As others have said, once you figure out what kind of batteries it takes, good luck getting them in. You cannot close the battery cover once the batteries are in. How did no one test this during production??? This is worse than the measuring spoons that all had the wrong sizes on them. You get what you pay for couldn't be more true.1
A bargain - buy it nowAnonymous reviewerI use this every day. The best brother and really affordable. I love it so much I bought 25
UselessCatherineBroke trying to get the batteries in. Wasn't worth returning.1
Really great frotherLisaYou can't beat the price for this frother. I use it every single day and it is quick and does a great job.5
Perfect Milk frotherGemaLove my milk frother makes my milk so yummy5
TrashEteriThe term, ‘you get what you pay for’ definitely applies here! Complete trash. 1
Hard to assembleAnujBad design..Very delicate .. if it gets disassembled then very difficult to put it back .. the cap to cover is pathetic (person who designed it kept it complicated and could have just put a normal cap) Anyways for this price you won’t make good part I threw it away1
Horrible battery compartmentSabrinaEchoing another review here, but the battery insertion process is a nightmare. The way the cover slides open made it nearly impossible to fit the batteries in, and once they were in, the cover would not close. I'm not sure if the cover needs to be fully in place for the product to operate, but I never got it to turn on. I thought I also maybe put the batteries in the wrong way, but in trying to get them out, the cover snapped off completely. 1

PRODUKT Milk-frother, black

A better everyday one cup at a time

Have you had coffee or tea today? Statistically, you most likely have. In fact, these hot brews are the most consumed beverages in the world next after water. They’re a part of life that can give a silver lining to any moment. That’s why we decided to update our selection of products to make that perfect cup – from the tea infuser and the kettle to the milk frother.

Malin Ljungström, who was involved in developing the range, shares her insights. “To many, the smell of coffee and tea means well-being and a homey feeling. Since we want to improve people’s everyday, we’re offering products that make it possible for more to experience more feelgood moments at home.”

Developing things that make a difference

Malin and her colleagues dug deep into coffee and tea cultures to find out what tools people feel they can’t live without. They talked to specialists and investigated living, eating and drinking habits. “We wanted to develop items that make a difference, so we’ve focused on a few, but carefully selected products,” she states. The team cooperated with IKEA Test Lab in Älmhult, Sweden. It’s an IKEA version of a James Bond lab where prototypes are inspected and evaluated. “A couple of the things we checked were that the thermoses can keep fluids really warm for a long time. And that the glass mugs and glass pots are durable and comfortable, even though they look and feel light and airy,” says Malin.

For all tastes and different wallets

No matter how you enjoy your cup, you’ll find the things that put an extra flavor to your drink in the range. Another good thing is that there’s something for all wallets. “It’s one of our contributions to a better life at home. A way to improve people’s everyday one cup at a time,” concludes Malin.
