Oak is an exceedingly strong and durable hardwood with a prominent grain. It darkens beautifully with age acquiring a golden-brown undertone.

Entering Year 8! Still looks great!SusanFamily of 4, two young and energetic boys, and this table has seen everything that can be thrown at it: games, puzzles, laptops, ping pong, homework, crafts, and of course meals. It is showing a tiny bit of wear on the most used corner (where cardboard Amazon packages get opened regularly.) We don't take any special measures with it, often wiping down with a kitchen sponge and dish-soap. We have the matching bench as well. THE best value/quality experience I've had at IKEA and anywhere else for that matter.5

Traditional craftsmanship combined with modern production techniques allows us to use less wood, which in turn reduces the impact on the environment.
