This mug, on the other hand, is one of the best mugs that I own, maybe even the actual best. The finish is flawless, no little pockmarks, and the finish does not stain, unlike inferior ceramic mugs. Porcelain is stronger than stoneware, hence why it's used in household fixtures, and it's strength is what allows it to be formed into the more refined coffee and tea cups --a win! This mug, for example, has a thinner lip than the glass one, which makes it better quality, more elegant, and functional!!! The 12oz. holds plenty, but it would be oh so lovely to have a taller, 16oz. version, too. The white looks sparkling and it enhances the look of any coffee/tea drinks which have milk in them, whereas the same beverages may look "dingy" in the glass mug. I only own three of these now, just because I have plenty with my other mugs, but I may go back and get more. I really love this mug!!5

Very high quality feldspar porcelain, I think it's also vitrifiedYvetteThis is an excellent mug, very high quality!! It's porcelain, which is the best ceramic available, hence why kitchen & bathroom fixtures are made from it because it's that strong. Plus this is a higher grade of porcelain being that it's feldspar. I think it's vitrified, too, because the glaze is very well done without any pinholes or defects.
I got this to use as my little container for holding the used tea bags & green onion trimmings & such, until I take it out to the compost pile. I prefer small batches like that instead of a bigger compost batch. I had been using the same mug but in the tempered glass, & whereas I love the aesthetic of the glass mugs, I just didn't like seeing the teabags in them. So these porcelain ones R PERFECT for me!!
I bought two, to have a spare, as I did w/ the glass ones, & the extras are wonderful 4 condiment serving!!! The smaller glass one is also good as a flour, etc. scoop -who knew?! These R EXCELLENT mugs & I highly, highly recommend!!!5
