The new one is just as sturdy, but the top isn’t as nice. They’ve changed the veneer so the ‘wood grain’ is a little paler and less pronounced. The lacquer coat has a slightly grainier feeling too. Still looks good from a distance, but up close, the change is much more noticeable.4

Wanted something that will not only serve the purpose but will also look good. This side table is exactly what we needed, fits with our decor and we absolutely love it. Also got gold round coasters to bring it all together and protect the surface (we use it as our coffee table). Worth the price and I’d recommend it.5
