Patience required.Anonymous reviewerThey look great but the mounting design is not the best, however if you take your time they are fine. Measure the two hole gaps twice before you drill as if you get one a fraction out you will end up having to fill and drill again. You need to keep tweaking the mounting screws a little at a time so that when you slide the shelf on it is really tight to the wall. Personal tip for a finishing touch. I have white walls so before mounting, key the surface of the shelves lightly (they have a slightly satin finish) with some light sand paper. Then after you have mounted them, paint with the same paint you used for the wall. Two coats will do. This will blend them in perfectly with the wall and also if you have mounted them tightly the paint will fill the edge where they meet the wall, so the join will be invisible. They will appear as if they are part of the wall. Bottom line, slightly flawed mount design that can be overcome, but take your time.

RubbishAnonymous reviewerBought these as I've seen on other comments they have same issue got bigger shelf went up easily but as soon as I tried putting these little one they dont fit properly theres a massive gap at the back so it leans forward to now my shelf is uneven next to longer shelf this issue I've seen in comments has gone on long enough they should just make fitting like bigger shelf so much easier

Not even worth the fiver.Anonymous reviewerLacking in stability, and lacks the screws needed to mount it to the wall. The mounting system is very flimsy, not the kind of rod system usually used on floating shelves. Gets two stars instead of one only because it's so cheap.
Terrible shelfAnonymous reviewerGot this and the longest lack shelf to make a run along a wall, the long shelf went up like a dream the small shelf is rubbish, the fixing's are inadequate , it needs the rods like the big shelves, because I am disabled I hired a professional to put them up and he could not make it work, the shelf will not go up level, it leans down at an angle , will be returning it for a refund, if the shelves all had the rod bracket you screw to the wall and then slot the shelf onto like the big ones this would work but cheap picture hanging keyhole brackets do not work .

The metal fixings are not cut to the same size, the shelf sags and once the screws are in you can’t get them out.

Bought to go in a corner but the smallest glance at them and they fall down or go crooked as the fixings are completely useless at keeping it level. Save your money and buy something better.
RubbishAnonymous reviewerFlimsy fixing style. Metal rod fixing bracket as is supplied with the larger lack shelves would be much better. This small shelf looked ideal on the wall as a bedside shelf however as soon as anything placed on the outer edge (nowhere close to exceeding the 3kg guidance), the shelf rips wall plugs out of the wall. Useless design.

Appalling shelvesAnonymous reviewerBought three of these to pop into a little recess next to a chimney breast in our son’s bedroom and the other half has lost his mind trying to get these right. We’ve had longer Lack shelves in the past that had a bracket running the width of the shelf and two prongs to insert into tue main body of the shelf, but this new design is just awful in comparison.
Two have been put up just about but one of this is already dipping at the front. Such a poor design compared with its predecessor. Would rather pay a little more for the old design!

What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
