However I opted for this colour because I like natural, unprocessed things, and this only had a clear acrylic lacquer on it, so the rattan colour is authentic. Just be warned the picture portrays it slightly darker than it is.4

What is rattan?

Rattan is a strong yet lightweight and flexible material made from the rattan plant’s stem. It can be used both whole and split into thinner materials that are braided into things like furniture and baskets.
