This Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, we’re making room to celebrate the traditions, stories and everyday moments that bring our co-workers and communities together. Because at IKEA, there’s room for every dream.
Making room for cultural traditions, poco a poco!
Join our coworkers for a fun game of Lotería, a beloved Mexican tradition that has brought friends and family together for many generations. And what better time to celebrate the cultures that make our world a more vibrant place than Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month.
Growing Impact Together with La Maestra Community Health Services
IKEA San Diego launched its partnership with La Maestra Community Health Services in 2025, bringing co-workers, customers, and community members together to support underserved communities. Building on successful product donation drives and volunteer efforts at La Maestra's Garden of Life Community Garden, we continue our collaboration during Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month through initiatives that promote family well-being, food access, and stronger communities.
Family Promise
The goal of our collaboration with Family Promise is to expand homelessness prevention and shelter diversion services across the country, as well as bring the experience of home to families battling homelessness and housing instability. Over the last four years we’ve collaborated in more than 18 US markets, providing furniture donations, co-worker support and home furnishing expertise to transform transitional housing spaces, shelters and day centers for families experiencing homelessness.
Save the Children
We’ve partnered with Save the Children for over a decade to support children and families with a healthy start in life. Through long-term collaboration, IKEA contributes both financial support and customer engagement to help strengthen communities. During the most recent national customer donation matching campaign, IKEA customers and co-workers raised $35,792 in support of Save the Children’s Hunger-Free Communities programming, with IKEA contributing an additional $100,000. Together, these funds help expand access to nutritious food, strengthen local support systems, and empower communities to deliver long-term solutions for children and families across the U.S.
American Red Cross
We’ve built a strong relationship with American Red Cross through over a decade of collaboration. Through in-kind product donations, volunteering and financial contributions, we support the Red Cross as they work to deliver vital services, from providing relief and support to those in crisis, to helping people be prepared to respond in emergencies.
